It's like Lance Armstrong. I can't really hate on them, because they have effed up impairments, and they were desperate to try to make their lives seem as "normal" as possible, in spite of it all. So you wanna blame anyone, blame a society which prizes youth and image over honesty.

RE fans have long wondered why the Dual Shock score was so terrible.

(not that this entirely explains it, as someone still had to be responsible for that mess)

Yeah, that had horrible music. I went out of my way to get the non-dual shock version when I had to rebuy it. The score in the original game/non-Dual shock Director's Cut just fits the game better than what they put in that Dual Shock version.

But Capcom did eventually realize how bad that score was, since the Nintendo DS version went back to the original score.

Not to jump into conclusions, but I doubt I would. He was most likely well compensated for his work. There was definitely a reason for him to keep composing if this lasted for nearly two decades.
He probably made this deal knowing that Samuragochi's name would go through the audience better. Who knows. But I highly doubt the guy was doing this against his will.

Agreed entirely, in-fact it makes more sense.

Absolutely. Think about it. A younger composer goes through the ranks (and this is just speculation) maybe he doesn't do as well as he thought and he hooked up with Samuragochi, created a mutual agreement that the composer will create the scores, music, etc. and will simply funnel it through Samuragochi's channels and stamp his name on it. Clearly he was well compensated and I would assume got other perks as well.

You can't blame them and who's really to say if this was truly right or wrong?

Let's be honest here, if we never saw this article, life would go on, Samuragochi would of continued to release music and nobody would of been the wiser.

I'm a huge fan of the RE franchise and I'll still support it.

A bit more detail now that the real composer has come forward:

I feel bad for the Japanese skater. As if the Olympics wasn't enough pressure... he doesn't need all the drama about the music he chose. It's not like he can drop it and change routines at this point, so he'll just have to settle for crediting the real composer.

So it went from being deaf to lying about being deaf & can't compose sheet music? How the heck did the guy get the job as a composer at Capcom then? Unless this went on before he was even hired there.

So now the guy's whole career is probably built on lies because he couldn't take the time to learn how to create music properly.
