Leave it to scumbag Media Factory to take my most expected series of the season and make it unavailable for my region. With that plus Funi keeping Noragami, that's basically destroyed any reason I could've had to buy a CR membership for a change. Oh well, at least I can always count on the guys with the eyepatch, they always get me the shit I want.

Get a VPN. Problem solved. I live in Japan but watch stuff on Hulu and here all the time.
I dislike shows based on fictionalized versions of historical characters because they're either forgone conclusions, or they don't have the same impact.
Sort of why Sengoku Basara is ridiculous, or why it ruins a story when you find out at the end that it was just a historical record or some other form of meta-story.
Has the Froating Head made anything really good that wasn't Macross-related?

Or I could just watch it ripped like I've always done and problem solved without getting any flunky stuff on my computer. Also, using a VPN or any other thing to avoid the region blocking is against CR's policies, so it's still half illegal, may as well go the whole way.
Since I'm on the complete opposite side of the spectrum (I LOVE any fiction story based on fictionalized historical characters), I have no doubts that I'll end up doing just that for this show

^I'm actually hoping to see it at some point, even if all reviews point at it being a steamy pile

It's more legal than piracy, at least. CR is a paid service, they care not whether you use a VPN. If they did, they would block the IP addresses of VPN gateways.
Flunky stuff? VPNs are paid services. I think you're confusing them with public proxies, which are probably the most dangerous thing you can do on the internet.

Wait, you mean I have to pay for a CR membership and then pay for a VPN just to watch a series that's not legally licensed in my region? Once again, might as well go full illegal. If Media Factory doesn't think my region is worth their attention, they're most definitely not worth my money.
Of course, as I said, if more of the anime I want to watch for winter does get a CR license for my region (so far only 1/9 has -two, counting Silver Spoon which is a given, but 4 are definitely not happening) I'll rethink it, since all of the Fall anime I'm watching is on CR already. It'd be a pain to switch from CR to rip-stream-site (which I'll have to use regardless to watch Noragami, Space Dandy and Inari Konkon, all Funi licensed) in my SmartTV , so unless CR seriously improves the winter lineup (i.e. get Hozuki no Reitetsu, Nobunagun and Sekai Seifuku), I'm most definitely out.
