I'm loving what Production I.G. is doing with KuroBas, so even if I'm not familiar with the manga, I'm definitely checking this one out. Sports anime have been growing on me lately, which also helps

Volleyball is actually pretty exciting as long as it's men playing.
That said, it's dominated by people in the 6'5" and up range...

Men's volleyball tend to be quick points, since the players at the net are so powerful it's immediately either a kill or a block (landing inside or outside).
But women's volleyball is more popular in Japan since their men's team don't stand a chance, while their women's team at least have good history (dominated in the 60s) going for them.

Still need some quick smaller guys to do the digs low on the ground, but yeah like basketball, it's a game of really tall people.

Pfft, volleyball is great regardless of who is playing.
I played all 4 years of high school and a bit after that. I'll definitely give this show a shot.

I've been waiting for a new volleyball show to become and adaptation. I've been playing its for years. I still like the good old baseball and basketball shows, but volleyball is something not everybody knows about and this is good to show

I'm pleased to see a volleyball anime (one of my favorite sports to play and watch), so I still might check it out since I'm growing more fond of sports anime.
However...
I'm not gonna lie, I was disappointed when I watched the video and found out it was guys instead of girls (I'm not familiar with the original material). Personally, I want to see more serious sports anime/manga where the main cast is female (and I also don't want to have to deal with constant crotch/boob shots filling up the screen that make me aware of who the intended audience is).
I'm trying to recall off the top of my head sports anime where a majority of the cast (or at least the lead character who is participating in the sport) is female:
* Ace o Nerae!
* Princess Nine
* Yawara!
* Chihayafuru - while karuta isn't necessarily considered a sport, the series definitely plays it off like other sports anime
* Taisho Baseball Girls
I'm probably missing several, but this is all I can think of off the top of my head.
And since I mentioned Yawara!, I will also mention Happy!, also by Naoki Urasawa, though it never got an anime like Yawara!

With female volleyball bloomers. C'mon y'know that's why a lot of guys watch it, especially the Brazilians.

With Japan once again hosting the Olympics 2020 and golf being newly introduced prior 2016 Olympics with J-female golfers having a good chance, there could be somebody who makes a female golf anime/manga fanservice, especially with the Ladies Tours increasingly emphasizing the attractiveness of female golfers.
Though it's surprising there hasn't been a female ice figure skating anime lately, what with current J-females (and males) being top rankers.

You forgot the big volleyball title, Attack No. 1 from late 1969, probably the first relevant sports anime for girls and I would guess lead to Ace wo Nerae. But no one's going to watch it because it's ancient, and only one subbed episode is easy to find at the moment. There was also the recent Moshidora about baseball.

I'll be keeping an eye out for this one, hopefully, on Crunchyroll. Every since I watched Big Windup I have been trying to increase the amount of animes based around sport I watch.

I've seen the first episode of that one, and intend to watch more when I get around to it for one reason or another.
