Hmm...I'm excited, but at the same time, hesitant. I've only seen Godzilla: Final Wars from this director, and...yeah...not exactly my favorite Godzilla film.
But, for all I know, my problems with the movie could stem more from Toho than from his direction, so I'll stay optimistic for now. |

You forgot to mention the defunct Hollywood remake from producer Gerald Molen.

psychokinetic strategy felt like it pulled more inspiration from the manga than the anime. Still a bizarre show to watch though. I haven't seen it in at least 5-6 years

The most important question is, will Meisa Kuroki (Fujiko Mine) be naked?

Nah, the question is, will she have some other pose on her face, instead of always that scowl. |

Meisa Kuroki is not the type of seductive type to play Fujiko Mine. They should get Fukada Kyoko. At least she has big boobs to match. But Oguri Shun is an interesting pick. I can see that working out.

Except there was no Goemon in that movie, while this one promises Goemon will be in it. Plus Lupin hasn't had a live action film in years, so let's wait until a trailer of the film is up. We're yet to see what the characters will look like and yet to know if it'll be in the same level as the first live action film or will go another route. |

enurtsol: I wonder if she'll pose with Obama, too.
bin: I've been saying Fujiko's chest should "look" the part, too, but I got flack for it from a disgruntled former Lupin forum dweller. Her loss. E-Master: Godzilla: Final Wars was fun for me, too. Kitamura is a director who knows how to have fun without bloated explosions and other cliche Bay shit. I wish he'd gotten more work in Hollywood. [/url] |

Wow, getting Ryuhei Kitamura on board is a huge coup. Say what you want about his films -- some are obviously better than others -- but they all have cult followings.
More importantly, this isn't his first time working with anime/manga material, and judging by the cast this isn't going to be just some small time production either. I'll admit I was going to be excited about whatever he made upon his initial return to Japanese Cinema, but even more so now that it involves one of my favorite franchises. |

Even if this movie tanks, it still won't be as bad as that city hunter live action.
you want to see so bad it's great go watch that gem |

yanagi: I have a soft spot for both the Jackie Chan City Hunter and the 74 Lupin. I guess I'm into low-brow comedy.

I'm sure they won't attempt to have Lupin cosplaying Chun-Li in this live action film. |
