I'm pretty sure linking to blogs is acceptable, so...
The most practical and useful blog to keep up with the newest series IMO is RandomC. Omni does a very good job of consistently updating it, seeing all series he is blogging to the very end, blogging on a very large number of series simultaneously, and maintaining great summaries, as well as provide us with interesting news and tidbits. His preview guides are top notch and are ones I use on a very regular basis. I always use this blog also when I missed an episode for whatever reason or need clarification on a particular episode. Overall a very useful blog but not somewhere I'd go if I wanted to read something very interesting or refreshingly original. For my entertainment fix, Hontou ni Taihen desu is my pick. Stripey has a great sense of humor, and comes up with all sorts of things many of us could even dream about thinking of. From the Siscon Aptitude Test to the Archetype comparison chart to all of his numerous Top 10's to talking about his figurines, his blog is incredibly entertaining to read and one of my all-time favorites. Basu Gasu Bakuhatsu is great for sampling series, as the blogger (don't know his name) covers a huge number and variety of series, but usually blogs only his first impressions or the first few episodes. So for anime sampling purposes, this is a great blog to go to. The preview guides here are very good as well, and the blogger also has a good sense of humor. Pinku Bento Box has the most memoriable season preview guides IMO. Not because they cover all that much, but because NegativeZero is so good at keeping the reader interested that you'll never forget about many of the series he covered. To this day, I remember that Inukami is "kind of gay", Ouran is "very gay but also very good", and Black Lagoon contains "Guns, Girls with Guns, Explosions, and more Guns". |

Good recommendation. I'm partial to Zyl's hontou ni sou omou? myself, but Stripey is great too. And if you are reading one of them, I'd recommend reading the other as well as they refer to each other a lot. Jason Miao's Anime on My Mind is another one of my favorites. Even if I disagree with his thoughts on a show, its still quite entertaining. |

I am in agreement with everything stated so far. I've read most of those blogs, and can verify their usefulness in certain areas. Random Curiosity is most useful for information and summaries, and is very reliable since he covers so many different shows. The others mentioned I like to use more for personal enjoyment, since I find many of the articles amusing and just plain fun, great for heightening your experience with anime.
www.animeblogger.net is a great site that lets you get a glimpse at a multitude of different blogs. Their Antenna page is especially nice, as it lets you follow the latests posts by series. I like using it just to sample the latest reviews of any recent episode of a show. Remember when dealing with blogs, though, that you will find some people whom you will disagree with on pretty much everything. Just ignore then and don't let it get to you. |

Not to mention the fact that I also write for Bento every once in a blue moon (which should increase, now that I'm basically on the way to graduation from college at this point and through the worst of that). |

Hey, I'm the writer of Basugasubakuhatsu.
If you wanna find some good blogs, I recommend checking out animenano. It's an anime blog feed aggregator. Most of the blogs are pretty good, so it's a good starting point to find some that you like. There's also a directory of all the blogs that are aggregated by anime nano too. |
