Anime Matsuri
The Festival of the Future April 27-29th, 2007 George R. Brown Convention Center Houston, Texas Website Weekend Pass: $40 Pre-Reg til March 15th: $35 April 2007 marks the debut of Anime Matsuri in Houston, TX, and we invite your participation in this landmark event. We have a full roster of events ranging from two Cosplay Contests, to an all-nite dance, to a debut Ramune Right-Away Contest, to Showdown Championships gaming competition to 30 panels & workshops and a Main Events on Saturday that will feature live performances & concert performances. Special Guests include: Back-On – J-rock band with the successful theme song ‘Chain’ for the popular anime Air Gear will debut in the United States as the Headliner at Anime Matsuri Peter Cullen – The voice for the heroic Autobot leader Optimus Prime in the animated Transformers series and upcoming Transformers movie directed by Michael Bay Fizz – The all-girl rock band from Tokyo who will also debut in America as the opening concert act during Anime Matsuri’s Main Events on Saturday. They’re part of AM’s Rock the Con Contest and will be judging the first ever Runway Cosplay Contest Yaya Han – The nationally acclaimed award winner for her cosplay and costumes will share her experiences and is the Special Guest Judge at Anime Matsuri’s Cosplay Contest Kaminari Taiko Ensemble – The prominent performing Taiko group will showcase their technical and refined skills during live performances at Anime Matsuri Zero Gravity Stunts – The martial arts action team based in California Bay Area & Los Angeles will talk and demonstrate their skills during their panel at AM and is part of the live performance act at AM’s Main Events on Saturday Please check out other Special Guests and Anime Matsuri’s fun-packed schedule of events on the website!
