I mean, if Tezuka was God, who is nearest to him (this question coming from a guy whose "real name" means that)? Many people might say Miyazaki but I disagree. Mitsuteru Yokoyama? Close, but no. I think the creator of the Power Rangers and Cyborg 009 would fit. One reason is that he too has a complete work list that is hundred of volumes.

I'm by no means an expert on the subject, but I could see him being considered second to Tezuka in a populist sense. I wouldn't think in terms of the influence he had (from what I've heard not with critics either), but there aren't too many creators who have created multiple "classic" works. Leiji Matsumoto comes to mind, but he was a few years later, and in terms of canon older works are usually held on a higher level. Like you said Yokoyama has to be considered, and I'm sure Fujiko Fujio is still a household name(s). I'm mostly just speculating, but Dormcat would probobly give you a more definite answer.

Shotaro did not create power rangers Rolling Eyes

I think he had more influence in Tokusatsu then in manga though. But i'm no expert either Razz.

Actually, he did create the Sentai series we Americanized as "Power Rangers". So, in a sense, he did create it.
