My parents always complain about never knowing what to give me for Christmas, so this year I made an extremely detailed four-page long Christmas list (that only contained five expensive items or so) complete with a list of stores the items could be found in and WWW links to websites if the items weren’t even available in Hawaii stores. It was very time consuming, but it certainly paid off because I got almost everything I wanted for Christmas this year. (The only thing on my list that I didn't get was this ultra cute Kamichu wallscroll.)

Here's my haul:

Galaxy Angel: Normad cap
The giant fleece ear flaps made me look like the mentally challenged woman that pretends to direct traffic outside of my local library, so I chopped them off and now ithe hat looks really cute. I'm wearing it right now as I type this.

A full set of these awesome Higurashi no Naku Koro ni figurines
I'm going to have to buy some super glue, since I accidentally snapped Rika's tail in half.

A pre-made Haruhi cosplay outfit
My mom must have gotten my measurements in my sleep or something, because even though it's a pre-made outfit it fits me perfectly.

Boogiepop novel volume 1
From my little sister. In an oddly creepy coincidence, I got her volume one of the Boogiepop Doesn't Laugh manga.

The Anime Enclyclopedia, Revised and Expanded Edition
Which disappointingly turned out to be a stinking piece of crap. Seriously, do NOT buy this book, it's riddled with misinformation and overly harsh plot synopsizes (Jesus, they're just supposed to be synopsizes, not mini-rants about how Belldandy is an insult to women everywhere) that label every mecha anime ever created as an Evangelion rip-off. Just from what I've read so far, according to this book Dokuro-chan is a Mahoromatic rip-off (which is missing a necessary violence warning), the mood of DNAngel is highly comparable to Koi Kaze, PetoPeto-san is very similar to DearS, and .Hack//SIGN is aimed "firmly at the aging Pokemon generation." Confused

I also got Guitar Hero II, We Love Katamari, Final Fantasy 13, and Nintendogs, and a Hello Kitty 2007 calendar.

Haruhifan1200 got...:
    Kino no Tabi The Novel
    Kino's Journey Complete Box Set
    You're Under Arrest Vol. 1
    Lots of Pocky
An Mp3 Player (this is related because I have tons of anime stuff on it)
    Another Otaku Shirt
    Kanji Study Pads and Books
    Full Moon Vol. 4
    Doubt!! Vol. 1
    Anime Insider #39
Japanese Calendar of Different Parks in Japan
    Cool Rice Bowl
On the Nighttingale Floor Novel (Takes several ancient Japanese culture references)

Needless to say it was awesome!

I got Kodocha vol.9 & 10, Strawberry Marshmallow vol.3 (Artbox), Banner of the Stars Complete Collection (1 & 2), Scrapped Princess vol.5 & 6, and a few video games. I didn't get everything I wanted, but I'm still happy. Very Happy

I got a DS (the cheapest one available, $129.99) along with FFIII. It'll keep me busy for the remainder of the week before school starts again, so I'm satisfied.

I was also going to buy one of those Scrapped Princess DVD boxes that come along with Pacifica figurines, but they only had Volume 5 and 6, so I decided not to.

Heh, probably wouldn't have been too useful regardless. Any material encyclopedia would need thousands and thousands of pages to match the comprehensiveness and coverage of ANN's encycopedia.

One of the presents my best friend gave me was the Outlaw Star Anime Legends collection earlier this month. I bought her the exact same thing for Christmas! Laughing She had mentioned to me that she wanted it on DVD so I got it for her, but I never thought she'd get me the same thing. And I got a Fullmetal Alchemist artbook, an Inuyasha figure, and a Winry from FMA figure from my parents.

Those are the only anime related presents I received, but I was given $100 from my uncle and $50 from my cousin which will most likely be on anime DVDs and manga! I also got a bunch of other cool stuff such as three really pretty geisha dolls, a Japanese pillow, and some games to play on the computer and PS2 (The Sims 2 games and Xenosaga III~). And my aunt was able to make me peanut butter fudge that I have been wanting for so long! Anime smile

So I had a good Christmas. Hopefully everyone here at ANN had a good Christmas too! Smile

That is beyond awesome, Wolverine Princess. I hope to see people with this kind of quality Haruhi cosplay outfit when I go con-ing next year.

I didn't get much anime this Christmas, what with wanting (and getting) a Nintendo Wii. I'll end up spending a little of my Christmas cash (not to mention a $25 Borders gift card) on some Trigun Maximum manga and another boxset or two.

What I did get anime-related:

- Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket boxset
- Fullmetal Alchemist: Conqueror of Shambala Special Edition 2-Disc Set (which is BEAUTIFUL)

Anime related...

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c233/PantsgoblinX/Picture099.jpg

Two Galaxy Angel artbooks that, oddly enough, I did not have. The two newest issues of Megami magazine (Very nice issues... some very attractive pull outs of GA characters <3) Welcome to the NHK! manga volume one... and a Milfeulle flower headband. I can tell you my parents were bit confused about the last one, but it was something I wanted and may wear it with my friends... (I assure you, I don't plan on crossplaying as Milfeulle... Although, the idea isn't completely out of my scope Twisted Evil )

Well damn, compared to everyone i barely managed to get anything at all lol, of course cash or gift cards would probably be the best gifts anyone could give me.

Fullmetal Panic! Fumoffu
Probably the crowning jewel of all my presents next to Trauma Center: Second opinion. Such a great series with comedy aplenty. I also managed to snag a $50.00 borders gift card(thanks sis). And another $70.00 from my godparents(thank god now i can buy the Elfen Lied eps. I've been craving).

Whatever I ordered from rightstuf for the sales is pretty much what I'm going to be getting anime related for Christmas this year. I wouldn't dare ask my mom or grandma for anime DVD's because my mom knows the contents of some of those shows out there while my grandma would throw a fit if she had to use her money on something that takes so much of my money away.
