Ok, I ran across something today over at the Wikipedia that I saw in the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Naruto_episodes epsiode guide for upcoming episode's 216 & 217 that has thrown me off a bit. As I'm sure everyone that follows Naruto knows, the new update Naruto starts in early spring 2007. But the dilema is in the title names of those episodes.

216 - The artisan disappears - The targeted Shukaku
    217 - The Sand's allies - The Leaf's shinobi

Anyone who follow Naturo, probably knows that Shukaku refers to the Sand demon sealed inside Garra.

But, where it doesn't make sense to have those episodes now is that if you follow the manga spoiler[ in chap 245-247, Naruto makes his return to Kohona after 2 1/2 yrs of training with Jiyaria. And then in chap 248 starts the Garra Arc. Where he is kinapped by the Akatsuki, and then the newly formed Team Kakashi is sent to help the Sand recover him.]

So with that manga spolier in mind, it seems like thier changing the order a bit. It just seems to me like this would fall under the new series rather than now. Maybe I'm reading to much into it, but titles seem to suggest it the same as in the manga. Anyone else have any thoughts?

Wikipedia's not always correct, seeing that anyone can add information to it, and their entries for popular anime titles seem especially rife with inaccuracies. These are likely rumored episode titles that some idiot took as fact and jotted down without checking them to see that they were correct first. Seems to be a common practice with Naruto episodes in particular that the first inkling of an episode rumor goes up on WIkipedia within two seconds, only to be proven wrong the very next day.

Ok, some things need to be clarified. Those are possible translations of the real episode titles. However, the Shukaku thing is probably incorrect. Shukaku's kanji is similar to that of another word (forgot which one) and that has lead to some confusion. The current speculation is that those episodes will be a Sand country related filler arc. As to whether it will involve Gaara and friends or just some random group of sand ninja, no one knows.

You guys need to stop being so pessimistic. The titles come from Shoboi (Showboy?) which has never been wrong.

The kanji is definitely the one for Shukaku.

I agree with you for the second part though. It's most likely a red herring. They probably just want to make sure that the Sand people will be fresh in the viewers' minds before actually jumping into Part 2.

Well, I doubt that these titles are part of the time jump. Take a look at the ANN page for Naruto Shippuuden, it shows that the start date for the new series is 2/15/07, meaning that these January episodes are probably just some sort of final wrap up for the first series.
