OMG! That's GREAT! They discontinued the old series but now with the production of a new one it will revitalize the series.

I remember watching the Anime a LOONG time ago, it was back in High School when I was just starting to expose myself to Anime outside of the Toonami shows. I think it was on Encore Action at the same period of time Blue Seed was on
Anyway, I'd sure want to keep an eye on this series.

Wow I was a tiny little kid when I found both VHS at Blockbuster. I really enjoyed it, because I wasn't into anime then and it was something really entertaining. This is great news, hopefully we get a conclusion this time.

Awesome news. I really enjoyed the OAV. It was geat stuff. Hopefully, they'll be able to get some of the old staff together.

Woot! I've gotta wonder, though, if it'll be a continuation or if it will first re-tell what happened in the original OVA. . .

Wow...it's been so long! But it's good to hear, I as well remember seeing it when I was a wee girl.

They could probably make a whole series out of it if they wanted to...sure it'd likely be cliche, but I'd still watch it

Actually I'm surprised about this as well. A new updated version of the the same series. Seems that's what's happening these days. New 'Fist of the North Star', new 'Guyver', etc...
While that's good an all they could try grabbing some things that haven't had that chance to be animated.
I never got the chance finish seeing 'Birdy the Mighty'. I wish I did when I had the chance. I guess I will new when the new series starts.

I'd like a sequel, particularly if it involves Yoshiaki Kawajiri, but I'm not banking on either of these things. Still, this could be interesting.

So....Why hasn't the manga been licenced in the US?
Does CPM still have the licence ? They did stop distributing it...

I have only found 3 chapters translated on the web. Are there more?
