My Biggest problem with this whole thing is the lack of Response time by the encyclopedia staff. I believe many of these things could be fixed. But then again I'm powerless to do it. Is there a list of Actors who wish to not have their aliases revealed?

Pardon me, but 1) Do you issue my paycheck? 2) Do you make me happy enough to answer your requests and solve your problems willingly and for free? Neither.
Define "fixed". Once merged, the system can't separate them back without much pain in the butt. I don't live in the 'States and I almost never listen to English dub, so I'd rather not touch the tricky Union issue and choose to leave them to other Encyclopedists.
If you keep capitalizing first letter of words in the middle of a sentence other than proper nouns (is German your native language?) and use "but" at the beginning of a sentence I'm sure you'll be kept in that way.
Not in my knowledge. As far as I know they made requests individually. Finally, if you don't start providing proofs or explanations to your claims (see what wao did) I'm going to put them at the bottom of my to-do list. Doc-watson42 pretty much explained the reason for me. |

There are many spelling errors on certain pages including The Digimon Our War Game page, Michael Lindsay, Michael Sorich and Doug Erholtz are all misspelled as Michael Lidsey, Micheal Sorich and Doug Erhoityz

There is no English cast for Bokura no War Game; parts of it were used for making the english Digimon Movie, but the OVA itself was never dubbed into English. I'm sure I had this fixed once already.

1. Tomoko Takahashi is 4 people.
Firstly, there is the producer from ADK, 高橋知子. Ashita no Nadja - Producer (not Planning as the credit says; I've watched the OP and it is プロデューサー) Bomberman Jetters - Assistant Producer Fushigihoshi no Futagohime - Producer Pretty Cure - Producer Neon Genesis Evangelion - Production Room Assistant I'm not sure whether the credit of PRoducer of Pretty Cure Max Heart is wrong: ok, first I don't see it on that linked site (and the guy usually shows changes in staff when it happens), second I dug up clips of the OP, watched through it (ARGH) and don't see it anywhere... not for the TV series or the movie... which should be pretty reliable. Also, Hatena Diary shows the change of producers under Pretty Cure though nothing under Max Heart... But for some reason you have things like this: This site seems to make it seem like she's the producer but that site lists Pretty Cure and Max Heart so it's not conclusive... Still, this blog entry of someone who clearly watched it put it there... Though it might be a mistake because in another entry he shows the producers changing over from Pretty Cure to Pretty Cure Max Heart (i.e. Tomoko Takahashi -> Rika Tsuruzaki) But what's confusing is he calls it "Max Heart 2"... He isn't talking about DVD 2? Maybe he means Movie 2? arrgh. It doesn't help when sites like kakaku.com bill her as the producer. Even worse when the main site itself doesn't show it. Conclusion: I gots no ideas! Let's just leave it in there for now. Secondly, there is the background artist 高橋智子 Cowboy Bebop - background (Studio Easter) El Hazard - background (STudio Easter) I can't find episode-by-episode credits for the rest (Gad Guard, Pretty Sammy, ROD and YUA) Thirdly there is the colorist 高橋友子 Inuyasha - Painting aka Finish Animation [Coincidentially the 2nd Tomoko Takahashi appears in this show too!] working for MI Thing is for Gintama it seems as if we have a separate 高橋智子... Here working for Wish The thing is the Shambala painter, after I watched the credits, was 高橋友子 working for Wish as well. I think the Gintama one is just a typo and all 3 are teh same. Finally there is the CG Structure Design person, 高橋朋子, in Metropolis. The one thing not covered is Pokemon Heroes: Latias and Latios but I dunno where to check detailed listings of that.. Why do I spend so much time on this :p 2. Kazuo Sakai needs to be split up The animator/animation director/asst. director 酒井和男 Aria ep 3 Demonbane assistant director (not on m-satomi's site so I guess it was more of an unofficial thing) Full Metal Panic animation director Moon Phase ep 1 Planetes ep 25 Pretear ep 11 School Rumble ep 19 School Rumble Nigakki OP and ep 1 Sousei no Aquarion ep 19 Submarine 707R is probably this guy as well. The producer/executive suit dude 坂井和男 Pretty Cure Pretty Cure Max Heart I'm not sure about the Sensei no Ojikan credit, because on the japanese wiki entry it's 酒匂暢彦 (Nobuhiko Sakai) 3. Shinzo Yuki (correct) vs Shinzo Gyo I don't think it's an issue abuot whether they're the same person: they are, but what's the correct reading? Wikipedia seems to quite naturally put him in the art director category between YAMAMOTO Nizo and YUKI Yukie (his wife?) implying that it's YUKI Shinzo(u)... 'Course the ever trustworthy allcinema.net puts him as Shinzou Kou. But I guess the nailer is that this rather serious and official-looking website about museums has a bit about the Suginami Animation Museum which has/had an exhibit featuring 行信三 (ゆき しんぞう) Shinzou Yuki. Considering it's an exhibition and his name is plastered on a board surely it'll come with furigana or whoever wrote this would know how the hell to pronounce it. 4. And now that I mention it, Yukie Yuki is er, mixed up. The Japanese name has been entered (correctly - go check the usual sources) as ゆきゆきえ - which would make her Yukie YUKI, but her English name has been incorrectly entered as Yuki YUKIE. Durr... PS: This is probably the wrong place to say it and it's a selfish thing,... but I wish you guys would get WYSIWYG for the forum posting (unless it can be enabled and I don't know how to do it) because it's a pain putting [ url ] and [ b ] around everything (especially pain-in-the-ass long URLS). And when I'm editing the post it's a mess X_X |

I find it easier to keep the BBCode tags I use frequently in an open text document, and to copy and paste them into the post upon which I'm working before I paste in the URLs, titles, or other text the tags are to modify. Editing is still a pain, however. |

Aargh, and what's up with Kenichi Yoshida and Ken'ichi Yoshida? Someone's gone and duplicated the credits... (and ooh, someone who's read his site added things...that Wolf's Rain credit, Kurau and Mars Daybreak especially...)
If it was someone who just copied all the existing credits that were in Ken'ichi Yoshida (which was first, I believe, for a number of those credits?) it's a bit unfair that he/she just copied all of them into a new one and if that new one is chosen as the 'correct' one that person gets to 'keep' the credits (i.e. edit them as they like and all). EDIT: Kenji Tanabe is 2 people. Animator - 田辺謙司 Negative Editing - 田辺賢治 (see http://www1.vecceed.ne.jp/~m-satomi/evangelion.subtitle2.html#eva25%202) EDIT2: Chikara Matsuura, who is 松浦力 after checking credits for Bokura ga Ita (ep 3 and Coyote Ragtime Show (ep 1,2,5,10) is the same as Tsutomu Matsuura (older entry). I don't know which is correct but either way he's an animator working at Minami-machi Bugyousho which was founded by uh... Kenichi Ohnuki, I think (CEO is Osamu Yamazaki) You could go and ask them at their BBS how to read his name (I managed to do that for Myouchin Usaku 宇作明珍 and was also politely and additionally informed that he was NOT a 'foreigner' (i.e. Korean/Chinese...)) because this time I can't seem to post. Don't know why, they were quite fine with me asking the last time. EDIT3: Cindy Shouyan Lee and Cindy Lee are the same. To explain, I first added her under "Cindy Shouyan Lee" because I first saw her in episode 9 of Mushishi, where she was credited as シンディ・リー・ショウヤン (see here as I don't have the ep with me anymore to take a screenshot). That would be Cindy Lee Shouyan. Shouyan is of course her given Chinese name so going by the ANN name-entering rules I figured she would be "Cindy Shouyan Lee". However, since then the "Shouyan" has never appeared on credits: Her next appearance was in episode 39 of Eureka 7 where she is credited as シンディ・リー Cindy Lee. And since then (starting from Mushishi ep 16 onwards) she has been credited as "Cindy Lee" in English letters. That includes, of course, Ouran Host-bu which is where this entry is concerned. I guess the obvious solution is to merge it under "Cindy Lee" and then put "Also known as Cindy Lee Shouyan" or something like that and have that name redirected to Cindy Lee whenever someone enters it in the future (in the case it appears again though I doubt it). |

Keisuke ONISHI
Kei ONISHI (shortened) They work on titles from the same company, so I assume them to be the same. I also doubt the anime director (w/ 2 credits) is the same as the ZRO Limit staff member. Yoshihiko Omakoshiis a typo for Yoshihiko Umakoshi.
The series that Omakoshi's been working in is Jubei-Chan 2: The Counter Attack of Siberia Yagyu (TV), but even in this interview with Akitaroh Daichi, his name is spelled Umakoshi. Miriya Katoushould be merged into Miliyah Kato. the former name is a romanisation of the info on thiswebsite, but her official website and Wikippn give the correct English writing. Kazumi Yuana should be merged into Yuana Kazumi (first-last name switch). |
