Not anime but related?

I've looked around for the answer to this question, but I couldn't seem to find it. I'm sorry if the answer is out there! ^^;;

Where did the link to "not anime but related" go? I found the page by myself, but is there a reason it's not linked on the anime page? I wanted to add Jigoku-Shoujo (live-action movie) but I couldn't add it under the anime section (is there a new section?)

The section still exists but they took the links down. Least any I could find.

I can't find the post, but I believe the reason the admin gave was along the lines of "it was taking the encyclopedia in a direction that they didn't want it to go".

Oh wow. Really?

Well, this is the link and all the series are still there and working (at least the ones I checked).

That makes me sort of sad though...I like to know what anime & manga have live-action movies & television series.

You can still sumit live-action stuff on that section. I mean, I discovered that it still exists by typing the name of it on my address bar. Just type in on the URL bar that the show is live-action.

Of course there is a reason. It's discussed in detail here

Even when you are on the "manga" page, you can add an anime. The "Submit new information" screen is identical for wherever you come from.

Correct, this is also clearly explained on the Submit new information page :

The type must be one of the following:

(TV) : a TV series (multiple episodes)
(OAV) : made for direct sale on video; the number and running time of episode(s) doesn't matter
(movie) : a theatrical feature film or made-for-TV movie
(special) : a one-shot episode, usually shown on TV
(manga) : a japanese comic
(ONA) : Original Net Animation (premiered on the net)

So I suppose you should have typed "Jigoku-Shoujo (movie)".
