I seriously hope SUCKimation releases Shin-chan in an americanized version and an uncut version, (like Super Milk-chan.)

i hop so btw 4KRAP & FUNIPOOPOOMATION SUXXORS zomgwtfbbq. Lol!
I think everyone would be a lot happier if you either grew and got over your silly grudges for 4Kids and Funi and who knows what else, or just went away forever, mister Krap. Your inability to carry on an intelligent conversation is unwelcome here. You'd fit in better on this forum. |

You can insult 4Kids all you want, but whining about a company that's done nothing wrong is just stupid. FUNimation will release Shin-chan at some point. It just finished its test run on Adult Swim - of course it's not on DVD yet. If you can't wait, that's your own problem. FUNi doesn't cater to you. You should be banned for your moronic behavior and childlike insults.
Oh, and Shin-chan is uncut on TV. But of course, you ignored that fact. |

This grudge, it gives your life meaning?
It's amazing how much this place can resemble Metafilter. |

Funimation does a great job in releasing their products uncut and with great subtitles (Thanks Steven Simmons), and recently some really good packaging. I'm not sure what ever made you put the SUCK in their title.

"SUCKimation" might be something of a childish attitude, but the question is interesting nonetheless: how would FUNi release Shin-chan? |

No, they'll release it edited and dubbed only. Because they are SUCKimation and they hate you. I can understand your hate for 4kids, but what's wrong with FUNI these days that makes them eligible for your wrath? P.S. So who's up next for your clever puns? ADSUCKS or perhaps Banpoop? |

Na, I think he'll use Bandie instead, but yea, I think it's the DBZ dub that probably got him, I know I hated it, but the FMA dub more than made up for it (and that says a lot since, well, I'm very critical to dubs...that being said the dub for Happy Lesson needs to die).

I'm with the others. I don't understand your hatred for Funi.
When I first started watching anime, I was VERY leery of anything Funi put out due to Dragonball. These days, I'd trust that a Funi release is well done. The interactive menus are easy to use, the subtitling well done, English voice acting amongst the best the U.S. has to offer and they make sure that signs and letters and other little things are usually translated. |

I think so too. What did Funi do to deserve your harsh criticism? Personally I think they've done a good job with what they've put out. They've released others uncut, so I wouldn't worry about. It's not one of those things where they put out the DVDs before the anime is all the way done, but you just have to be patient.

Much like ADV's Ghost Stories, I think CSc needed a bit of tweaking to have more mass appeal over here, and they did what they needed to do from a business perspective. There just aren't enough fans of Doraemon, Shin-chan, and other long-running Japanese family comedies to justify a 100% faithful treatment. And incidentally, I recently saw the first few episodes of DBZ in the edited English dub format (which Funimation wasn't involved with at that point), and I wouldn't want it any other way |

A Dragonball Hater?! YOU'RE ON NOTICE!
I hope it's released on DVD pretty soon, but right now, there's no release date. |
