I can relate. Negima was a damned rollercoaster ride in terms of the quality, especially the first and last arcs. |

Let's hope this next manga DOESN'T end in a completely unsatisfying manner.
I mean, the last arc of Negima was...shaky, but it was still somewhat entertaining. It wasn't up to the sheer level of quality that the Mahora Festival arc was, but I liked it. However, that ending was just...ugh. 
But I've ranted way too many times on that ending, and I just want to forget it happened. Anyway, looking forward to the new manga.

I also hope to read this potentially-downplayed-panty-shot manga in the U.S. soon. I'm still trudging through the School Festival arc in Negima!, but I'd like to see how much more Akamatsu improves. When he makes crap, it makes your brain ooze out from your ears, but when he makes good stuff, it's darned fun. |

One can never have too many panty shots. That being said, for me it would be risky picking up his next manga. I was extremely displeased with the ending to Negima and I know I'm not the only one. To do that to my favorite manga is just upsetting. While I liked Love Hina and Negima I also despise when Manga end unsatisfying. |

Hate to break it to you , but its gonna happen cause its his MO and it have worked from him. I have no doubt in my mind that if any manga series is created by him , its gonna be another harem series though i could be wrong. Though i really do hope that there is a continuation to the Negima series cause the ending unfortunately leaves something to be desired and a little complicated. |

Shonen Magazine is predominantly Love Comedies and Battle Action manga. From the title & Akamatsu-sensei's modus operandi, it's going to be another blend of Love Comedy and Battle Action in the same vein as Negima.
Negima's finale may have left something to be desired, but I also got the impression there were reasons behind the scenes for the rapid wrap-up of that story. In general, I've always adored Akamatsu-sensei's stories and sense of humor, and greatly look forward to his next work. |

Took the words right outta my mouth, mate. I'm curious what genre he'll delve into with a new publisher at his back but I'd still very much like the "full, unabridged" ending to Negima!. *crosses fingers* Keep the hope alive, friends! |

Akamatsu is the only manga-ka I will get genuinely excited over reading a harem by. I can't wait for the first chapter of this new project

Or, maybe certain fans in the U.S. can stop being so prudish and come to the realization that there is NOTHING wrong with fanservice? Ultimately, I enjoyed A.I. Love You and Negima (haven't finished the latter), so I am looking forward to Akamatsu's new project (hope it's another harem series ).
