Hey everyone,

Today I went down to by the FMA movie and disc 13 because they were supposed to be released the same day. But several stores including Best Buy got the movie in but not the 13th volume. I have seen the entire series on cartoon network so it isn't a big deal I was just wondering if there was anyone else haveing issues getting the disc.

[EDIT: You scared me there for a sec. I thought you meant "issues" like a glitch, so I changed your topic to be more specific. -TK]

Strange you should mention this, my local anime store had the movie out last week for purchase yet the final volume is nowhere to be found. I didn't really bother asking them about it, because for whatever reason the people who work there are quite rude/unfriendly. But I bet by the end of the week I am sure you'll be able to get a hold of it. If not Wal Mart will probably have it, that where I got volume 11.
Till next time,

On Sunday(2 days ago) my local Best Buy had multiple copies of vol 13, but no movie. My guess is that since there were stickers on both vol 12 & 13 stating the movie is available on 9/12, they must've decided to wait till Tuesday to put the movie out.

Me neither- I got it the usual weekish early my pre-order from RS usually come.

Best Buy's got quite a habit of not getting their stuff out on time. Honestly, the only place I ever went with a soild 'out on release date' habit was Suncoast- but those are few and far between now.

Best Buys around here are quite the opposite, they get their anime out on time, they actually get the anime out sometimes a week or even two weeks before it should be out. Problem I found is since they stock anime right away and they don't order a lot of it they often sell out of more popular anime titles well before the release so that they're out when the actual release date comes around.

I pre-ordered mine at Suncoast so i got it yesterday. But, they only had about 3 copies all together, including the one I ordered. I'm pretty friendly with the guys who work there (who arent into anime as much as I am), but they were amazed when the order came in because they had so few. And the only FMA movies they received were the preordered ones. My local best buy never has anything in stock. If something sells, they do not reorder. The section has been looking pretty bare lately, even though it still encompasses almost one aisle. They also never have any FMA stuff.

How is everyone getting the movie already? Rightstuf says they have vol. 13 reserved for my order, but the movie is listed as coming out November 14 and is on order from the manufacturer.

This doesn't make much sense because volume 13 was supposed to come out at the same time as the movie and I thought they were supposed to come out at the end of September or beginning of October.

EDIT: According to ANN's Upcoming Releases, both are supposed to come out September 26.

Funimation changed the dates, September 12 for the regular edition and if your buying the LE you have to wait until Nov 14. I am not sure why Funimation want to make the fans who buy the LE.....I've been ranting about it the last couple of month ever since Funimation has decided to make the movie one of their worse release jobs ever.....

As for the ANN release that is often times not up to date, and more importantly I would check Rightstuf, if want the correct release date information.

I usually do, but they don't have dates for things that are already out. And yes, I am unhappy about their handling of the LE release as well. "Oh, we'll have a special edition and then two different extra special editions only available in certain stores... oh, you already pre-ordered it online? Sucks for you."

One was at Walden Books and the other was at Best Buy. I don't remember what each includes though.

Best Buy is suppose to have special documentary, but it was confirm by several forum members that the regular edition comes with an extra dvd as well.

As for Walden that is the release I want, Lenticular Cover. I don't know about anyone else here but I love a good piece of artwork. Hell part of the reason why I bought Basilisk box was because of how damn good it looked.
Till next time,

Can you give more details on the "Lenticular Cover"? I had to actually look that word up, but I still don't seem to understand what this cover will look like. Will it be one of those "holographic" images where it changes depending on the angle you look at it? Do you know what images will be used?
