I enjoyed both of these. I like Bleach a little bit better so far but Trinity Blood isn't that bad either.

I'm looking forward to seeing where the two series go to.

Able Nightroad, who's English VA did Frank Archer in FMA, did a good job. I think he caught well the somewhat trippy dippy part of the character and then switched quite nicely to the kick-ass vampire killing machine.

But the character I think that I'm going to like the most is going to be the Priest(ess) in the red robes who said:
Quote:
We are not that much different my brother and I.
I'm not sure if that's the exact quote but at least she asked that the casualties were kept to 50% rather than everybody. Happy to be a Sacrifice my semi-skinny butt! My life may suck at times but at least I'm alive! I don't think that I'm going to like her brother and I hope she kicks his butt! And the Pope is a wussy sissy BTW.

I'm not sure which character is going to be a fave of mine from Bleach yet. I'm leaning towards Ichigo's sarcastic sister. We'll have to see how big a story line she gets.

I liked both series so far, we'll see how that goes, of course!

I'm more intersted in hearing Chad's VA, mainly because I wanna see if they give him a Spanish accent.

Ok My thoughts on Bleach can be found here. Needless to say, I think it will be a great show, dub and all. Of course we have only one episode, but if it stays like this it will be great, and I think it will get better as time goes.

Trinity Blood, hmmm.

It is had its good part and it bad parts. And when I say bad parts, I mean parts where I just rolled my eyes, like wtf. It looks like another bishie hero anime, which is fine, but I'm a little tired of it. spoiler[In fact TB saves me at the end where it turns out he is quite a badass.]. I do see a lot of potential, and regardless of what I have heard I will hold judgement for myself. But I will also say I am glad [as] picked this up, as I think I will enjoy this much more watching on TV, than if I had bought it or rented it.

ugh, that didn't sound right. I am glad they picked it up.

One other thing, everyone is so pretty. Embarassed

Though the dub of trinity blood was fine the anime as a whole is still bad. It's funny how they turned a good shoujo action manga into crap.

I actually took a chance on watching the pair of these shows last night, also.

Honestly, maybe it's only because we're one episode into the series, but Bleach has given me no reason to be enthusiastic about more episodes. I'll give episode #2 a try, but the characters of episode 1 are incredibly dull to me and the story elements aren't any more interesting.

Somehow, and I'll probably be crucified for saying so, I think that Yu Yu Hakusho does the whole "Defiant Teenager with a Big Heart who's Spiritually Gifted" character much better.

Now, as far as Trinity Blood is concerned, it seems like it could be fairly fun if the ending theme is true in hinting that there's a going to be a burgeoning romance between the Priest and Stewardess characters introduced in episode 1. That sort of character development (provided it doesn't turn into Inu Yasha's endless "Am I in love with him?" droning) coupled with a fun combination of personalities could prove interesting.

i've seen Bleach pretty far, up to episode 31 to be precise and the first episode is nothing to go crazy about. it takes a few episodes to get to pick up. where i'm at, however, some of the fight scenes are really freakin cool. trust me, Bleach really picks up after a few episodes.

Bleach - I wasn't very impressed with Ichigo or the whole VA cast so far. Animation was so-so. Music was a bit meh. I lost intrest about half-way through.

For the first episode dubbed, I give this one a D+

Will I give it a 2nd Chance? Maybe.

Trinity Blood - Good choices on VAs, but I'll reserve judgement on the storyline because I do believe in giving some intresting animes a chance. The animation, as always with Gonzo, is superb. Music is alright, seems a bit awkward.

For the first episode dubbed, I give this one a C+

Will I give it a 2nd Chance? Yes.

Compared to other dubs, the dub for Bleach was pretty well done, though my entire body still went numb when I heard their voices... I say they could have done better, but they also could have done much, much worse. I think people who haven't seen the sub would really like this dub...except for Kon...wtf is with that ><

yeah, Kon was pretty bad. i hope his actor plays around with his voice to make Kon sound a little better.

like i said, the series picks up later on. the first episode was more introducing Ichigo and Rukia than trying to show some good action. Ichigo is a total badass in some of the fights when they get to Soul Society. the main problem for me with the anime is the major changes between the anime and the manga. they sometimes add extra characters that weren't in the manga. at least it doesn't interfear with the story at all.

Yay! Someone else who noticed that!

I didn't watch Bleach(I've read a volume of the manga though), because I had to wake up early, but I did watch Trinity Blood. It seems very interesting, and I liked Vash, and the happy-go-lucky Abel(not the badass personality) reminds me a lot of him, but the story and theme seems very different. I'm looking foward to next episode, since I think it will be even better.

My first impressions:

Trinity Blood - Not bad, not bad. I'll use spoilers since some who taped on VCR or TiVoed might not have had a chance to watch yet. spoiler[The "good vampire protecting innocent humans from his own kind" theme has been done well many times before, but I'm always up for another interpretation if it's done well. And if Father Abel really is a member of the clergy, that will certainly give an interesting slant on things. I guess the tone of the series is going to depend largely on whether Father Abel's true personality is closer to what he showed the stewardess or what he showed once he had the hijacker alone with no humans around...]

Bleach - Reserving judgement. This could go two different ways. There's potential for some very deep and profound interaction between Ichigo and the spirits he's helping, but it could also turn out to be a routine power-up fest. I liked Ichigo's protectiveness towards his sisters, but his interaction with his father was just bizzare. Time will tell.

The storyline changes along the series, I think when it hits around episode 15-ish. Basically, the first episodes are to get all the characters you see most introduced, then the storyline goes completely different. It's not a power up fest, and the storyline is good, and changes as well. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Not saying it's a power up fest (because it really isn't compared to things like DBZ) but Ichigo DOES become more powerful through new tenchiques as the show goes on spoiler[( Bankai and the Hollow form)] that may make people think otherwise about the series as a whole Neutral[/spoiler]

Ichigo's relationship with Isshin (his father) is strange at best, but they do show that he and Isshin have a very good relationship later on. the story itself is excellent. the first 15 or so is essentially multiple introduction arcs, but after that the real story starts and the action jumps up a notch.

Eh, but it's not like overused, you know? spoiler[I don't see Ichigo pulling out his Bankai much in the series, and his Hollow form is just awesome.]

But yes, you're right, he does become a lot more powerful. I was thinking of power-up fest being like "DBZ-esique". You really don't see like too much of it in Bleach.

My opinion, anyway. I've seen up to episode 94 in Japanese, and I haven't seen them being overused yet.
