Amazon.com says that ranma 1/2 contains "brief nudity".
However, it says the same about inuyasha, and have watched that and seen no nudity. My question is, does ranma 1/2 have actual nudity, or something along the lines of inuyasha? I believe it isn't real nudity, because some of the reviews called it child appropriate and kid-friendly, and even said they watched it with their toddelers. All I need is someone to confirm this by giving me a description of the content in the first box set of this show. The response to this will make or break whether or not I will buy this box set. Thanks. |

There are times when you will see brief flashes of breasts (usually Ranma in girl-form). There are definately a few episodes that would not be considered suitable for kids (ie. the bath-house episode, which was extremely funny), but as I said before, it's very brief.
The female form is nothing to be ashamed of  so don't let the fanservice throw you off a hilarious series.
If you provide a bit more info about your situation (eg. you want to watch it with your kids etc), then I might beable to give you a more specific description. Edit: Also, I know you're new to the ANN forum so I won't give you flak, but read the rules. Don't bump your thread to the top of the board by posting in it again less than 5 minutes after your first post. |

I simply want to know, how bad is the nudity,
if it is something like undetailed nudity like what appears in Neon genesis evangelion, or in the begginning of inuyasha, and is brief, I can deal with it. If it is like full out hentai, I would not morally be able to bring myself to buy it. If anyone could describe it by telling me which of the above it is like, or if you can compare it to something in one of those series would really help. |

To my understanding it is set in place for the anime to retain realism, and not to be like hentai. This is to my understanding, brief nudity would fall under transformation from Ranma to the girl form. I'm not sure if it is detailed, but it should be ok with morals. Like there shouldn't be any hardcore sex scenes, or strip bars etc that sometime pop up in hentai animes

OK thanks, but as I said before, I really want to
know if it goes any farther than Inuyasha or Neon Genesis Evangelion. From what I heard, it doesn't sound like it does, but I really need someone who watched it to confirm this. |

there's A LOT more nudity in Ranma 1/2 than Inuyasha. i mean it aint porn, but it's there.

But is it worse than what is in Inuyasha, because
even though it is listed as nudity, what is shown there is not something I would consider nudity. As in, since it sounds like breasts are shown, does the version that is sold in amazon have nipples in those breasts, because that, I consider real nudity. |

I believe there are actually nipples shown in Ranma. Something not found in Inuyasha, at least to my knowledge. There is some nudity there but it isn't graphic or in bad taste.

Well, could someone who watches the show confirm
whether or not there are nipples in the show, because if there are I sadly could not bring myself to buy the show, unless there was an edited version that removed or at least censored these details. |

Is there any kind of edited version?
One that removes or otherwise censors the nipples, because I cannot bring myself to watch it with that content, but I really don't want to miss out on this show. |

lol... no nipples huh... so mounds of flesh on the chest are okay, but nipples are a no-no >.< I keed I keed, I ain't here to judge you.
Anyways, as akitainu said, there are nipples involved... I think... I don't really notice that sort of detail. As for censored versions, a quick search on the internet will certainly give you an idea, maybe the DVD has a censored option. There is a possibility a censored VHS version exists somewhere (check out your local vid store), but this sort of info you can find yourself. |
