The anime basilisk i think came from the movie shinobi. Basilisk i think is about to rival ninja clans, the iga and kouga who are sending there ten best ninjas against eachother in mortal combat. the movie shinobi is also about two rival clans, the iga and kouga, but instead they send their five best ninjas against eachother in mortal combat. Just wanted to know, has anyone seen basilisk? How was the anime in action and the meaningfullness in the words they use. Was shinobi a good movie and why was it good?

You're off. The adaption order is: Basilisk novel ---> Basilisk Manga --> Basilisk Anime--- Basilisk Movie (aka Shinobi). |

I've never seen the movie, but I have seen the show. Extremely good action, very very fluid and interesting. The two major problems I had with the show were just how forced everyone acted at times, it didn't really seem like they had to do what they were doing or that they wanted to, they just did it as a plot device. The other problem was the complete lack of trust between the main couple on both sides. Really a pretty good show, but the character designs are unneccesarily bizzare, I think it would have been much better if it had slightly more normal designs.

the movie is totally different from the anime/manga. it's like a completely different story.

not completely. The idea is essentially the same (Ninja Romeo & Juliet), but the follow through is slightly different. Being a feature-length film, Shinobi will obviously have less characters and have a much more condensed story. Also, the film ends quite differently from the anime. |
