I just found out about desktop mascots and I found the Negima and Love Hina ones but I can't find any others (I got the otakuworld.com program as well but I'm not paying $8 a month for one or two mascots)
So here is the question can anyone else tell me where I can find other anime mascots (like Chobits or Ah My Goddess) If you can find any anime mascots please tell me how to get them. Pardon the newbie question, but what exacly are desktop mascots. I have a few figures setting my comp, but I assume that isn't what you mean.

Sorry about that desktop mascots are small characters that sit on a your open windows or start menu tastbar and talk or move around

Bonzai Buddy was this purple creature that was suppose to entertain you on your computer. Not only that it was suppose to be helpful (searching files etc) however that program sucked. Many had difficulties getting the damn thing to shut up, or find a way to delete the program..... And yes I am with Steven, I like anime but I really don't want Saya (or anyone) on my computer dancing around.....my folks think I am strange enough already I'd hate to see their reaction to this.... |

Well none of the ones I found dance there is one that waves her fist in the air and some of them talk to each other (only its in japanese) but thats about it.

Those are so cute! I don't even like Love Hina, and I've got five of those characters sitting on my Internet Explorer window right now. If you guys find any others, I want them. I think I remember seeing one of Quatre from Gundam Wing in pink pajamas in bunny slippers with a little blanket, but that was a really long time ago and I don't know if you'd still be able to find it.

Sounds suspiciously like another way to toss spyware around easily. That's all bonzai buddy was after all, we even ran a little test at work where we took a completely clean computer that we did a complete check on and then installed bonzai buddy. The end result is the spyware scanners picked up around 170 different modifications, files, and other malicious spyware flags on that computer once that little purple blob was installed and uninstalling it didn't get rid of it.

I searched on aol and msn and found a site where someone put a way to get the Negima mascots (but I still can't find some I don't have already....  ) I didn't try to use the way thats on the forum to get the mascots cause I already have then so I don't know if it works here is a link to the forum:

I searched around some more on the net and found this site;
http://rosegray.sakura.ne.jp/macopix/index-e.html The only problem is I can't get the .tar format files to work it just shows a mesage that .tar is a unknown format type and I don't know how to fix it. So if anyone else can get it to work please let me know. |
