5,000+ posts on /a/ with a sticky will do that. What's interesting is what the Japanese think of LWA, calling it "cancer script" or some such.

Close to the 160k! And it's not even sunrise (the time of morning not the company)!

I was too late for the Time of Eve initial top rewards, but I finally got it in time here.
They've got to add stretch goals at this rate. Definitely more footage or even another episode would be awesome

If we can extrapolate that every minute is $10k, then another episode would run some $300k on top of this.

脚本が癌 was one of the replies on 2ch. It may not be the overwhelming consensus or anything, but there's not much positive either.

You realize that 2ch represents "Japan" precisely as much as /a/ represents "America" right?
So some dipshit on 2ch didn't like LWA or is just being a troll. So what?

I was at the Little Witch Academia party at Anime Expo, and Otsuka of Trigger said there that they've received a great deal of positive support for LWA in Japan as well, so I'd take 2ch bashing with a grain of salt.

Hard to judge since there wasn't much response other than that or calling it mediocre.

It's like anything though, a lot of the real fans like to keep quiet and ignore negative responses. All my friends in Japan loved it as much as people in America seem to, so from my perspective it's fairly well received over there too. Too much credit for /a though. This kickstarter was posted on nearly every major anime site, and has been highly anticipated since it was announced Friday. I wasn't surprised at all at how fast it went.

Great!
I was impressed by the first special and would like to get the Blu ray release.
Nice to hear that Kickstarter is actually helping some projects get off the ground... Some good's coming out of it.

Wasn't posted here until like 95-100k. I know CR wasn't as immediate either, so it was probably Leddit and /a/. Except Le Dit had like 75 posts and /a/ had like 5000 by the time it was funded.

Great news, but guess I'll still have time to put together a good contribution early next month rather than just offer a small one right now. Which, of course, still doesn't make much of an impact on the already confirmed success of this project.
