I'm going through the Kyoto arc for the first time and now I;'m beginning to realize I was missing out on a classic. Damn, with two movies they'd better not muck it up.

Knew it!
Now if they could make something with the Jinchuu Arc, that'd be great (a fan can never get enough Kenshin adaptations)
EDIT: huh, I'm really tired: can the Legend's End Arc refer to the Jinchuu Arc? That'd really be super-awesome, though I can't see two 10+ volume-long arcs perfectly adapted as two movies. (I had the very same problem with the first movie, though, and Ootomo-san did justice to the manga, so I shouldn't worry )

The article says the films will cover the Kyoto Arc, so I think the "Legend's End" refers more to the idea of "Two Men at the End of an Era," Kenshin and Shishio's final battle.
Also, I can't see them premiering two movies so close together that cover two different story lines. As much as I would love to see an actual Jinchuu adaptation...

Hmm, I wonder what other Kamen Rider alumni they'll cast, so we can have more "Den-O vs. Skull" type battles?

Is this the announcement they were talking about last issue?

As long as they don't get the same director from the two Kyoto anime films I guess it will be okay. Also, what happened with the reboot manga? Did it end?

I saw a sub of it on my way to Japan on Delta Airlines, so there is an official sub out there somewhere. I think it had a WB home video tag but I'm not 100% On that.

Great news! I enjoyed the first one enough that it's now my preferred version of the material it covers. If they can do as good a job on these, it'll be awesome!

I enjoyed the first film. 2 films covering the Kyoto arc would be neat.

I've heard that official subtitles get made for just about all major Japanese films (for airline versions, international film festivals, and airings on Japan-centric cable channels, like they have in Hawaii). But sadly, those subs often don't end up on the R2 DVDs.

I don't see why they can't cover the Kyoto Arc in one film and Revenge in the next. If they devote the next two films to Kyoto, they'd have to make a fourth or even fifth for Revenge and I doubt that will happen.
The Revenge Arc is the most important arc in RK, yet is the most neglected in media adaptations of the manga.
So disappointed.

I'm pretty excited for it.
I'm wishing Kamiki Ryuunosuke plays Seta Soujiro, so much. D:
Though, it's seems pretty fair that they would split the movie into two parts.
I mean, there's so much going on in the Kyoto Arc, that it'll seem much to shove it into one movie. :/
I'm still wondering about the Jinchuu Arc, however. They did use two characters from the Jinchuu Arc in the first movie...So...Will they be in that movie as well...?
