I agree! Keep your fingers cross it could happen. Someone could do it but chances are it has to be someone that can be trusted to do the translation properly. I still haven't gotten much of an answer online as to why Ikeda-san, was so adamant of releasing the series outside of Japan. I know there are reasons I can think of but I couldn't imagine that this series had been missed in Europe. Correct me if I'm missing something.

Yeah I'm surprised she released RoV in Europe but not the US. Understandable in that since it's French, it's only fitting but...maybe she thought it would get butchered?

RoV was never released in the UK either, so not all of Europe got it. We just get imported manga from the US, sometimes rebranded with a slightly different logo.

Exactly. Ikeda gave a veto after seeing Sailor Moon. RoV was released in German, Spain, French and Italy- all that countries have a longer and more peaceful history of manga releases.
She might change her mind but I wonder what about American part- RoV is very old school shoujo with graphic that can be seen as too sweet for modern readers. Meanwhile in Japan it's more recognisable than Sailor Moon, basically a proverbial example of shoujo with still growing franchise (Takarazuka musicals), so the licence won't be cheap.

I saw it all a few months ago. The animation took some getting used to, but it's just so good. Oscar is so badass. So refreshing from all the waifu stuff everywhere.

It's a Shueisha series. Only Viz has any kind of access to it.

Amen to that! Oscar's one of the best female characters in fiction, hands down. She's what makes the story, honestly. Fascinating, complex, flawed, heroic, and noble. Hopefully the fact that Ikeda has relented concerning the anime being released stateside means she will consider letting the manga be exported as well. One can only hope.

Really the only countries that really cared about it tend to be those that speak either French, Italian or any of the languages on the Iberian peninsula. You come to realize how quickly anime had saturated itself in those parts of the continent.
