That Shantae game sure has quite a bit of attitude. I think I recall this game some time ago. Might have to do a little digging into what the game entailed.
Caladrius, well having insane bullet-hell shooters are always a welcome here. I would have liked to have seen the Tomodachi series here. My niece would have enjoyed it. Maybe. As far as Attack of the Friday Monsters now there's a game I could get behind. It's a shame that some games don't make it over. Then they region lock the system. Thing is that Japanese retailers do realized that there are folks here in the West that are interested in picking up a game that has not chance of being imported. But again it's a whole "will it sell deal". Just like the 'Rhythm Tengoku' series. Folks were importing the GBA version which should have came here. But we got the last 2 games. |

Why do we still censor things in this day and age? And out of curiosity, what was offensive about Last Blade 2? |

If Card Fighters Clash came out on phones I'd play the ever loving crap out of it. I loved the first two so much (stupid DS game ).
I even did a large cross stitch of one of the cards. http://popanime.net/geekcrafts/images/crafts/cross-stitch_hello-nurse.jpg Man there was a time I was super obsessed with those games. I actually wish more of those TCG/RPG video games would come out. |

Because they either want to aim the game as a younger market for more money so they take out violence/sex/adult themes or because people are xenophobic and dislike Japanese names and culture so they Americanize a bunch of stuff. Those tend to be the two most common reasons. In Last Blade 2's case they wanted to get it a T rating in America so they toned down the violence and blood, even though it was rated for younger audiences in Japan. |

Having read certain fans' evaluations of Shantae, I understand that the main character is admired for certain "shape-shifting" powers that have nothing to do with transformation… |

I find it weird how Japanse Teen Rated games have much more adult oriented content than the NA T-games. Im sure there is nothing inappropriate in those games to make such a big deal over, and besides, who the hell looks at the ratings these days--the whole gears and CoD community are 10-year old elementary and middle schoolers. In that regard, I think the Japanese are doing a good job by not censoring every little "violent" or "sexual" detail to meet the T-Rating standards |

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who was a little weirded out that the Guild 02 Keiji Inafune game has you playing as Nazis.

I think it has more to do with the "teen" rating in Japan (and korea) being around 15-16 years of age as opposed to the earliest possible option: 13 for the States which all end up just being E/PG with a touch more violence..... You get a surprising amount of maturity and leeway with that 3 year gap since they're categorized (by everyone) as "young adults." Though even that term seems to have a ridiculous interval. |

Just pointing out a small typo here, but the actual name of the game is "The Starship Damrey". |

Well yeah, I know. I was asking rhetorically. I can't believe that crap's still happening. It's not going to hide anything. |

But this game was rated Cero B in Japan, which is the 11-12 demographic. Cero C is the rating for the 15-16 demographic. So actually it was technically aimed at younger kids than "T for Teen" which I assume is 13+ |

Don't count on Rising Star releasing Caladrius here. Akai Katana did bad for them so they might forgo shmups entirely. UFO Interactive might be a better guess.

They should've just turned the blood color to white. "Metal Gear Rising: Japan Gets White Blood, The Rest of the World Gets Red Blood" |
