What is the biggest cliffhanger you ever had to put up with in the latest volume of a manga series? in my opinion Monster volume 3 and Death Note 4. also Yu Yu Haksuho definately. not only that Yu Yu Hakusho comes out every 6 months

Laughing Every manga I read has some sort of cliffhanger (at least to me) and I just can't wait for the next one to come out. I guess I'm just a tad impatient since I'm always going into my local anime/manga store and checking to see if the next issue has come out even though I know that it will be a while. Embarassed

But if I have to name one that I really want to see how it ends, it's going to have to be Full Moon since it's at the final volume.

GTO Volume 16 was intense. I think that has to be my number one. I don't remember if 16 was the newest at that point, but I know I had to wait to get 17, which all but killed me.

Full Moon is a definite. Volume six had an awesome cliffhanger, just as all of the books have had. Oh, what happens in the final book?! I feel similar towards Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne, although I don't remember if volume three left off on a cliffhanger, but I want to know what happens next.

Eyeshield 21 volume 8 has a huge cliffhanger. Towards the end of the game, and BAM, awesomeness all around just in time for the book to end. Bummer.

One of I"s early teens volumes (maybe even as early as 8-9. It's been awhile). I dont remember exactly which one, but all I remember is that made me marathon the entire set in one night (all 15 volumes).

That's all I can think of atm. I'm sure there are plenty more.

The worst/best cliffhangers are generally in the second to last volumes, at least in my experience, especially in manga with high death counts of main characters. In fact, when I was collecting Ceres, I waited until vol 14 was out before buying 13, because I just knew there would be a horrible cliffhanger ending (and I was right, though it was also a bit predictable that spoiler[Tooya wasn't actually dead]).

Definitely Full Moon volume 6. This is one of the rare series i haven't totally spoiled for myself through the net and I can't wait to see what happens. The fact that volume 7 is the last volume of the series only makes it worse. I'm hoping for a happy ending!

Best cliffhanger is chapter 60 of Fullmetal Alchemist. I can't wait to see Kimbley kick Scar and his brother's ass.

Damn. This is hard. Uhh... Well, there's a lot for me cuzz I always wanna know what'll happen next even if that volume's end wouldn't technically qualify as a 'cliffhanger'.

For starters: Chrono Crusade vol. 7. The series has been fantastic and interesting throughout and now it's almost over. I'm just going nuts with anticipation! Very Happy

Then I'd haveta say... most of the vols. of Tsubasa. It's just an all-around great series that (IMO) really draws you in and keeps you guessing.

Of course, Fullmetal Alchemist is another awesome cliffhanger-supplying series, though admitively I haven't read that many yet. And Fruits Baasket gets me checking out Border's newest releases as often as I can even tho' I KNOW it won't come out as fast as I want it to. lol

There's also Shaman King, which seems to ALWAYS end in some sorta cliffie, same for Tokyo Mew Mew and Cardcaptor Sakura. Negima's not bad in that department either.

The Saikano series always had me waiting. I just couldn't wait to see how this was all going to end. Death Note keeps me waiting too.

Death Note is full of cliffhangers. Also, each new chapter of Naruto has a cliffhanger. If you don't like the way Naruto has been told in earlier volumes, I can almost guarantee you'll like the recent chapters--the storytelling is definitely improving. Each week, I'm on the edge of my chair waiting for the next installment.

Naruto is at a great point in the series in ASJ right now. It will be really good for like the next few years. Smile

The Get Backers hands down. I really like the story and in my opinion the cliffhangers are strong. I cannot often predict what will happen next! I find naruto volumes quite predictable, although I am a Naruto fan.

I think Death Note is Number one for cliffhangers. I mean almost every volume. Theyre just so intense and everything. Next would have to be Eyeshield 21. A lot of the volumes leave you hanging because you have to wait until the next volume to see who wins the game. Espically in Volume 8, holy crap. It just ends right when theres 2 minutes left. And as someone else has said, many Hunter X Hunter volumes leave you hanging too. The Kyoto arc (in the later part of the arc where they fight against Shishio's Ten Swords) for Ruroken kind of just leaves you wondering whats going to happen next and how will the person win the battle.
