Just wanted to point out a small omission.
Quote: | This year, ACE drew crowds of X (in comparison to TAF's 80,000+ public attendees) |
X=?

I got the Sentai Saiyuki Gaiden OVA earlier in the year. Why is there a poster with the date 2013/4/26 for Frontier Works? I just don't get what else there is to release on April 26 since the Gaiden movies were already released by Sentai in January.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

That Blast of Tempest display is really nice! I hope the series gets a DVD release in the US.

Quote: | But ACE isn't just about showing off the current talent that the anime and manga industry has to offer—it's a chance to allow laypeople the opportunity to learn about how they too can get involved in developing their own anime and manga or breaking into the commercial side of the business. That is awesome. I wish our anime & manga culture is mature enough in the west to offer something similar.

Pfft! Okay, who was the one who wrote the huge "Kamiya san" right in the middle of TV Tokyo's message board? XDDD

Why is it that multiple booths showcased the same shows? It seems like Karneval was pretty much everywhere.

I totally agree. It would be nice if there were more "breaking into the industry" type panels and workshops at U.S. anime conventions.

Whoa that head from Attack on Titan is pretty scary. I would love to go to something like this. Chances are my camera battery would die out quick from all the stuff.

Different companies can be part of the same production committees for shows or may be advertising shows that will be airing on their station this upcoming season. For Karneval, the following companies displayed it according to the article:
Frontier Works: member of production committee
Bandai Visual: member of production committee (distributing music/video)
AT-X: airing the show this season

Well, this is the last place I expected to see anything related to Arrow. It's a pleasant surprise though. I like seeing my fandoms cross over, even if it's in little and unimportant ways like this.

Largely because the panels usually run the same course, such as -
Step 1 : Speak Japanese to a business level fluency
Step 2: Live in Japan
Most attendees can't speak Japanese to that degree of fluency, so that dashes the hopes of most people attending the panel.
