DriveClub looks awesome. It might sell me on a PS4, unless Microsoft announces a new Project Gotham Racing title with the next Xbox.

I'll see how the console fares in 2 years before I decide to make a purchase.

about what I expected; looks like those diminishing returns on graphical upgrades are starting to kick in.

If you saw that Killzone video I honestly doubt how you'd say that. Nothing looks that good on PS3, or 360.

I don't think you know what diminishing returns means. In all likelihood PS4 games will look better than anything on PS3. No question there. But honestly, it is a marginal improvement. We're still basically in the same ballpark. Look at PS3 graphics next to PS2 graphics. The difference is monumental. Here though, it just looks like a mild improvement.

Yeah, we're going to see fewer and fewer discernible improvements as technology has started hitting a plateau in terms of graphics. It's definitely for the best as developers will actually have to mix up art styles and improve gameplay

it's not even close to PS and PS2 level changes lets be honest graphics alone won't make it worth the upgrade on home consuls now I mean look at handhelds you have 3d, touch screens, all sorts of new stuff to this new generation what about consoles. you have social features that have infuriated more people then have actually liked them and a slight increase in graphics.
The only game I am even interested in really is watchdogs and that is coming to PS3 so I really don't see any value to the PS4 in compression to the PS3 which I already own and love heck I still play ps2 games If it is not backwards compatible then no I will not "upgrade" to the new system, until I have plenty of NEW games (stares at PS vita) to play that I know I will love.

A new Infamous AND a new project by Quantic Dream, hell yes.

I really do hope that this system is backward compatible with PS3 games,...

Nope, it isn't backward compatible with PS3 games, though they seem to be planning a service which lets you stream games from older generations through the Cloud with Gaikai. My stream went out in the middle of it, so here's one small source for you to get started.

Source: http://www.engadget.com/2013/02/20/playstation-4-will-not-have-native-ps3-backwards-compatibility/

You can look forward to plenty of awesome games missing from that service. <_<

Quantic Dream looked amazing. I've been pessimistic about the PlayStation 4 and until Sony woo me, I'll still largely be, but that did impress me. Knack looked quirky and interesting, but nothing too amazing.

I'll be keeping an eye on the PlayStation 4, but I probably won't pick one up until there's a fairly sized library of games that I want for it.

They so need more games.

this was a let down really game wise.

it looked almost rushed.

hope they plan on more upgraded releases in the future!

1080P should be the normal on the new system.

I did not see that here.

1080P will be standard with PS4.

The games are not finished and they're going to announce more games at E3 (in June/July, before it's released), they posted a chart of 20-30 companies who's currently working on games for the PS4. Keep in mind that the games are not finished yet, much can change before they're released.

Edit:

Here's a small image that ANN posted in an article earlier today.

The official Sony Japanese corporate scrapsheet can be found here:

Oddly, SEGA doesn't not appear in the list of developers for the platform.

Yeah it does.

I see CC2 on there as well, which has gotten me interested...
I don't see me being able to afford it any time soon, though.

On the projector, but NOT on the scrap sheet. EA and Ubisoft don't appear on the projector, but their names are clear as the day on the scrap sheet.

Also, PS4 is going be mostly cloud based, so most games will be Downloadable and Streamed.
