For some reason I can't add alternate titles (Chinese) for Megazone 23?

Right now, all Chinese alt. titles require verification by myself, then added on the submitter's behalf. In this case I've added the Chinese (HK) title "無限地帶23" under your credit.
The Encyclopedia does not have a Vietnamese option for alt. titles yet; what you saw was in fact "smuggled" under "English" followed by (Vietnamese) in parentheses. I bet there are other titles "smuggled" in this manner; personally I've seen Chinese, Hebrew, Catalan, etc. I feel like facing a dilemma: on one hand I welcome the international diversity, but on the other hand it would add significant workload to our limited manpower, especially if a language is not recognized by any of our staff. I've seen error reports like "This Arabic title [insert Arabic scripts here] is wrong; the correct title is [insert Arabic scripts here]" sourced by "I watched it myself," I'd feel really confused, as Googling wouldn't help if I can't read either. If I were lucky there would be a corresponding Wikipedia entry or a bilingual website; if not then I could do nothing to the error report other than leaving it there.

The Chinese DVD company is ("AVP Video" which stands for "Asia Video Publishing". so that can be added as well.

I was in the middle of verifying whether the title used roman numerical or "Part X"; turned out to be the latter.
Because we don't yet have those language options; all those non-canonical alt. titles were submitted under "English". Last but not least: There's no need to submit four consecutive posts in 16 minutes; you could just edit your existing post(s). |
