After watching the anime series I was really glad I did, and I loved the story. However, I've heard the story is continued in the manga, but I have no idea what chapter/volume that starts at. Is it true, and if it is, what volume continues the story?
Thanks for your answer

I really enjoyed the series too and have asked about the manga and have been told that the story does continue. What volume exactly, I have no idea.
My problem lies in the fact that I live in America and it has yet to be licenced here so even if I wanted to pick it up after the series ended, I am unable to.

It does continue past the anime, but I heard that the manga finished recently.

Okay, that's good to hear, but do you know around what chapter the anime leaves off, and the manga picks up?

Unfortunately I do not because I haven't read the manga in a while.

Last I went shopping for manga, I couldn't find any Elfen Lied. I thought it hadn't been released in the US, yet.

As has already been stated in this thread, it hasn't.

The only Elfen Lied manga you'll find over here is the Japanese version, and you have to go to a Japanese book store to get it.

that would be awesome if they continued the anime, from looking at the writers site, although i dont understand any japanese, it looks like thats all she works on.
Anyone know what happens after the anime? im dying to know, since they make it look kinda obvious that lucy is still alive, at the end of episode 13 when he goes outside and turns around to see the clock and in the bg you can see a figure outside who has the same outline as lucy, only without the horns(because they got broken off in battle)

I have the answer. The anime only covers the first 60 chapter of the manga, which ends at volume 6. So from volume 7 it continues on...
There is no word on whether this manga is going to license, i hope it does.

This is true, but at the same time, there are alot of differences and switched around things in the anime that make it worth going back and reading the manga. After reading the manga the anime is still really cool, but feels compressed and rushed. Alot of character development was skipped over... plus some really cool scenes with the Insane Cyborg/marine guy, heh.
I would also LOVE to see this series get liscenced, but from what I hear manga w/ adult content are the lowest selling kind, so... fat chance I guess.
