WHOA. I doubt this means the DVDs will be coming out on Tuesday (after all, it would have been in a catalog SOMEWHERE by now), but hopefully this means the announcement will come when that timer runs out. Can't wait, I've been hoping for Voltron on DVD ever since, well, they invented DVDs.

For me this is fairly old news, seeing as I'm a member of WEP's Voltron forum and am on WEP's email list, stop by www.voltron.info/forum sometime and say "Hi" to us, you'll find me posting over there as Commander Keith. Hopefully this news means that we are EXTREMELY close to a DVD release, or maybe a new series, that is BETTER than the crappy V3D(IMO).

Seeing as FRIGGIN SABER RIDER got a DVD, how Voltron doesn't is beyond me.
Just make sure it's the Lion Voltron and has a boatload of extras. One more thing, maybe it's just my inner cynic talking, but I always thought Voltes V would make a better live-action film than Voltron. |

It's about time. I hear all these "brings back memories" when people talk about shows like Gatchaman and other old series being re-released, but I didn't watch those when I was young so I always felt left out. Hopefully the DVDs are released soon... I just hope it's not as disappointing as the ThunderCats releases.

Spoofer: Yeah, if it's just gonna be the dubbed and cut version like Speed Racer, what's the point?

That would be nostalgia for those of us who grew up watching the show in its English dubbed incarnation. It's the same reason why Robotech was available on DVD before any uncut versions of the original shows were. Also, I love Voltron, but it's a pretty basic, generic show, and I doubt there was much they had to change for the US version. There was an episode where someone stole Princess Allura's top while they're swimming, though, and I always wondered if they actually showed anything more in the Japanese version. That's not creepy, is it? |

!? This was one of the most hacked-up anime ever, rivaling even Robotech. They're both cobbled together from multiple shows, but at least Robotech could show death! I might be interested in getting that final season that was made especially for the US market, but that's about it unless we get uncut & subbed Go Lion. |

WEP could pull a fast one and put Voltron 3d on dvd instead of the cartoon.

Now this is what I call "nostalgia". Actually, 'Voltron' is probably the one of many dubbed animes I ever cared about. Ah the jokes in 'HS'. As "campy" as the VA were, I'm actually glad they got most of them back for the 3D version. Now could the other 'Voltron' (Dairugger XV) not be far behind?
I often wonder why the toy companies grabbed Albegas' for 'Voltron II' and never followed up with it? |

I think the title of this report is misleading when both Lion Force and Vehicle Force Voltron have been available on DVD in Australia for quite some time now (the five Lion Force Voltron boxed sets were released first and the third and final Vehicle Force Voltron box set was released before Christmas last year).

True, BUT that is in Australia and not anywhere else in the world. |
