Is this the new Gundam Seed anime that was refered to before? So, it's just gonna be an OVA, not another series I guess.

Normally, a condensed verion of a series would be a bad thing, but in the case of Destiny, the compiliation movies may actually be better.
I'm also looking forward to the OVA.

Yea, I'll be getting these as well. There is no way I'll buy the WHOLE Destiny series.

I'll definitely be getting the series, but I'll wait to decide on the movies.

I was concerned when I heard that it would be 90 minutes, but it might work at four volumes. Of course, keeping the show divided into quarters doesn't seem like proper incentive to make any radical changes, especially since most of the second quarter is completley disposable.
Of course, they could always cut out Archangel stuff in favour of adding more time with the Girty Lue gang, but how likely is that?

I just hope that this new series is an improvement over the last one. Destiny just seemed to be getting worse and worse as time went on. My biggest beef with it: Not nearly enough Yzak or Daerka (sp?). I think they were some of the best characters in the series. Let's put it this way:
Athrun, Shin, Rey were all confused out of their minds at some point. Especially Athrun, and that's what ticked me off the most. He had his 2 best friends and his fiancee telling him one thing and he still didn't believe them until he was proven wrong. Yzak and Daerka on the other hand, observe what's happening. At the final battle they see Kira and Athrun fighting against Zaft. They don't ask questions, they don't fight against them or demand they explain themselves. They use their brains to see what's happening, and TRUST their friends. Immeadiate they start fighting against the Zaft forces (not only that, but Yzak tells his ship to stay the hell away or they'll be killed). That's what I consider true loyalty and friendship. I just think they should've been featured a lot more.
Hopefully we'll have Yzak and Daerka featured more in the new series.

I was hoping they would set the next gundam seed far enough in the future that none of the current cast would be back in combat. The whole Kirra pwns everything all the time gets old.

Let's get this straight here:
This is from the same people that will screw up the plot and shove aside assigned character leads just so they can sell stuff and attract more of the fanbase.
They turned Kira Yamato into a God; turning Shinn into a blithering, angsting child in the process. Everyone thought he was the "Camille Vidan" of the non-UC. But he was more like the "Yazan Gable" or "Jerid Messa." His dreams and goals meant less than the usual nothing.
My real pity goes to the fanbase for readily accepting anything Fukuda and his ball-&-chain wife throw at you.

Sadly, I concur. I really enjoyed GS and endured GSD. I guess the best word is "discombobulated" for what Fukuda and knutty wife did. They destroyed what could've been a franchise. I guess this regurgitation is an attempt to try to get a little more cash out of the carcass.
So Sad, I really loved Gundam SEED. I doubt seriously that they will prove me wrong.

Check Gunota again there sir. You'll notice that Fukuda and staff ARE NOT working on this OVA.

Isn't there a guy on this forum that is continually asking about Gundam Seed? His name is even Gundam Seed something. Shame he hasn't posted here yet I'm sure he would have been happy.

Unfortunatly, Okawara is still attached to it.
The Strike Noire is an ugly piece of recycled crap, that is now Okawara's style. The guy may have created the original design... but he needs to retire.
Badly.
At least sometime before we get Super Strike Freedom MkIII.

You really know how to interrupt someone's joyful disillusionment, don't you?
<sighs, looks down, kicks ground...>
Dang it!
