Here we go (updated to adjust latest car fiascos):
Name: Mike.
Sex: Male
Age: Most likely older than you
Marital Status: Married - but she doesn't like anime
Location: Back on the sun coast of FL, and fighting with the power steering and clock in my 1968 DVC, the PS is sort of fixed, but the clocks keep failing.
Blood Type: vampire at least according to my wife.
Ethnicity: human - I'm pretty sure of this. My sister traced our mother's side to English royalty, but who cares.
Religion: Not for here.
Pets: Two Yorkies (RIP) but got a new one, his name is Skylar. He's a Yorkie (of course). Yorkshire Terrorizer is more like it.
Drink/Smoke: Non-smoker - as to drink - you should have been with me on that business class flight to Aruba in Nov.
Likes: boating -sold it so I can concentrate on the convertible, cycling, film photography (my F-1s Never break!), keeping old ThinkPads running forever, history, driving with the top down in the DVC all year long, trying to see if R&T was lying when they said my STS is drag limited to 156MPH
Dislikes: I do not suffer fools, all the propaganda on AFN
Favorite Anime: R.O.D, Fairy Tail, Noir, Kenichi, School Rumble, Baka and Test, Kill La Kill (man that is one crazy assed show!).
Favorite Books: NF: Incredible Victory, The Devil's Virtuosos. F: The Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillian, Ivanhoe.
Favorite games: Command HQ, Sword of Aragon, Fantasy General
Favorite Movies: Wonderful Life, The Best Years of our Lives
Favorite TV shows: none
Non-Alcoholic Drink: Twining's Earl Grey
Favorite Food: Surf & Turf, as long as it isn't arifjan surf & turf; most "oscar" dishes.
Favorite Sport to watch n/a
Favorite music: classic rock (wife says classic and rock cannot go together!)
Job: Logistician, look it up
Fun Facts
- I have been to Aruba enough times to make it through customs / immigration completely wiped. My wife will attest to this.
- I am back home, Yay!
-The 1968's Climate Control is no longer psychotic, but the power steering is now possessed.
-18" 45 series Y rated tires are EXPENSIVE

I took the N5 two weeks ago and it was fairly easy (well, it's the easiest one after all, I kind of regretted not taking the next level) but the rules and regulations are incredibly strict, to the point of hilarity. |
Hi CrowLia, sorry for the late reply. Since I only started studying Japanese recently and, sadly, have to do that on my own due to the fact that I live in the middle of nowhere, I will also be taking N5. Did you study on your own or do you have the luxury of having a tutor/teacher, if you don't mind me asking?

Ah, yes, Germany's culinary landscape, at least in name if nothing else.

Welcome to the fora! I hope that you enjoy yourself here!
I, too, am a fan of R.O.D. (OAV). Have you read the manga?

Sort of, I have all 8 books Read or Die and Read or Dream, I read parts, but the paper quality makes it hard to read. And, I didn't take them out here - don't want to ruin them.
I also have the 1 disc OVA with Yomiko & the seriously busty gal (Nancy?), plus the original full size box set of R.O.D. (7 discs) including the Anita figure.
That's a GREAT anime set!, one of the best of all time.

Not really, the '68 DVC (DeVille Convertible - last made in 1970), cost me only $3,000 when i first bought. Of course that was in 1998 when it was already 30 years old.
But then again I blew a tire on the way home. The spare was 30 years old and flat, so my 1st day costs jumped to approx $3,300.00 for 2 new tires and road service
It's nearly fully restored now. I never really totaled up the complete restoration costs (i do have the bills, but don't want an early heart attack), but they were quite extensive.
But it still didn't come near the the MSRP of the STS, which will Never be mistaken for a DeVille.
So yeah, they do cost a fortune.
Ps: No more DeVilles or STSs, last model year was 2011, last V8 NorthStar powered STS was in 2010 (mine is a 2009, and it IS a NorthStar V8 STS!).
