Too bad for you but Blu Ray is the only option.

Two possible options:
- Import the R2J DVD from Japan. It will have Japanese audio with English subtitles, but no English dub. LINK
- Import from Australia (R4 DVD via Madman Ent.). It will contain both Japanese and English audio. LINK.

Most people have made the switch to Blu Ray, so yeah. The masses want Blu Rays now. And I suppose it's easier for them to release a single international version Blu Ray since the regions are the same.
Anyways, they do release Unicorn on DVD here as two episode sets, though I'm not sure if that was Bandai Entertainment USA that released them. If so I don't expect any more of those to crop up.

Or wait until the official US release. RightStuf has all 4 parts in-stock, and the 5th is bound to get dubbed, since the Japanese studio contracted it in the first place. I don't know why people import, it doesn't help the US anime market one bit.

The 5th is already dubbed (both Japanese and English versions are made and released at the same time). Sommer89's problem is that he wants it on DVD when only the Blu Ray version is available.

Vol.5 is dubbed and released. Vol.6 (unsolicited right now) is being worked on right now.
Bandai Entertainment hold/held the rights to the Gundam Unicorn DVDs. They won't be releasing Vol.5 and on. Until a North American distributor picks up Gundam Unicorn, Vol.5 and on won't be released on DVD.

Some DVD players are region free. Others can be made region-free a certain number of times. Disc drives in computers are usually region-free, so that is an option too. If none of those work for you, then you will either have to buy a Blu-Ray player or go without.

Actually, most DVD drives out there are locked to a single region, which can be changed up to five times in the drive's life. Many DVD players can be 'hacked' into becoming region-free, though I'm not sure how many models in America have this hidden feature.

When it comes to Gundam Unicorn, I import because they are simply better products. I also don't feel obligated to support a single market. I buy from both.
Original poster really needs to invest in a Blu-ray player if they want to collect GU.

I think the majority can be hacked to be region free.
just a googling of your DVD's model number and the right key words will give you the info you need.
Some you can hack with just your players's own remote, others you might need to buy (or borrow) a specific All-In-One type remote control. I believe the most common way to do a hack is by using the types of number codes you use with those remotes that allow you to control multiple machines with the one remote... except the hack code takes a couple steps and at least one of the codes may be much longer.
Think cheat codes for video games.
I guess in the old days it could be harder- I know a guy who told me he had to use an Apple Newton PDA to hack a DVD player back in the early to mid-00's. This was a DVD player used in an international education department at a University where I often visit to watch Asian films with a group of other fans, just last week we double-checked, and sure enough, it still works and is still region free.

Take your Anime/Manga/Entertainment money and set it aside for a few months. You can get BluRay Players for 100 dollars now...
It may take a little while but it will save you from not being able to get the BluRay only releases. Of course Blus tend to cost more then DVDs as well so... yea..
