Hey guys what's up? It's been years since I've really watched much Anime (you know work and real life gets in the way), and I came across your forums looking for Anime news sites.
About me: I'm a 24-year-old game design student from Texas who also writes a few blogs while trying to get a job. My newest one is an Anime blog and I'd like to find out tips about improving it if anybody's interested. I tried posting a new topic earlier about it, but it thought I was a spam-bot, I guess... :/ I just recently finished marathoning Mirai Nikki, Another, and Soul Eater, and of all three of them, the first has been my favorite so far because of it's complete and glorious insanity. I really wish hammer-time had been included in the show, though. If you've read the manga, you'd understand what I mean. 
Well, enough about me. Nice to meet you all and I hope you enjoy my stay.

Hi there everyone! I go by Rabbit! I'm a little nervous (weird I know) but this is the first time I've ever posted on a forum or anything! I'm a long time anime fan/ manga reader. Full time student (siiiigh) and currently avoiding studying for a test Friday by introducing myself!

Welcome to the chaos BloomingWallflower, I hope you brought a survival guide heh.
 it sucks none of your friends like anime. I was lucky growing up to get into anime via a friend, and then was able to convert a few friends of mine. We all even used to go to Otakon together every year. Guess I was lucky in that regard.

I posted else where in the forums before posting here. Oops...
I've been watching anime for a long time, since Starblazers, Battle of the Planets, Force Five, Robotech and so on back when they completely changed the stories while they were 'translating'. I scared some friends with Ninja Scroll, Wicked City etc. Which they still remember to this day but few are still anime fans now that we're in our forties. Just me... Then I started reading manga later, first Viz translations which I got fed up with both the wait and the changes so I decided to learn Japanese. After getting the opportunity to use Japanese at work, including in Japan, and get some paid education for it, I finally made some headway and now read only Japanese manga and light novels. I still love anime however. I also love sumo and many other aspects of Japanese culture so I am pretty far along the crazy japanophile scale. Wish people hadn't turned that into something bad... I just find Japanese and Japanese culture very unique and interesting, a fresh perspective. Anyways, there is some great info here and I will try to contribute where I can. |
