What? Wasn't this Gangan Online's best-selling manga?
This is too weird. For a series that would normally sell around 100,000 units per volume on its debut week, to end without even so much as a note in the prior chapter? No. This is either a publisher dispute or something is going on with Yamauchi Yasunobu.
Either way, I'm really saddened to see this manga come to such a strange and sudden end. Hopefully I'm wrong and this was an amicable ending, and the creator is okay.

That is pretty strange indeed. I hope we get some more news on what really happened there...

Bizarre. Also, the final chapter sounds a lot like one of the episodes of the anime? Or am I mixing it up with a similar anime....Bizarre either way. A shame too, very funny manga.

What? No!
I wanted to know if Literature Girl and Hidenori became a couple.

Yeah, I think It's Not My Fault I'm not Popular is their next biggest title (I saw an article saying the first two volumes have sold 400,000 copies) but it's still a ways behind Daily Lives (at least until it gets the inevitable anime adaptation).

Just f$%king great. Something good gets cancelled and I bet we'll get 2 more seasons of f$%king yuru yuri and 2 more k-on movies.

Well, Yuru Yuri and K-ON anime sold a lot better than the DLHSB anime did. Still, it is quite strange that the manga would get the boot since it does have quite good sales. Like those above me, I think something happened with the manga-ka.

Yes, this is all a conspiracy against things you like.
I had no interest in this manga, but the abrupt end is certainly unusual.

Because those publications and anime productions are at all related to this manga cancellation?

Very possible that the mangaka wasn't getting paid enough or the mangaka simply lost interest in the work. Either way, more clarity would be nice. I wasn't too big of a fan of the anime but the manga is definitely a lot more fun.

Will be interesting to see what he does after this. Because keep in mind that Gangan Online is like the "minor leagues" for manga-ka: easier to get accepted, but no print magazine, so smaller viewership.
It seems odd he would walk away from 100k sales per vol. Maybe he got an offer with a magazine instead?

Given the 100k sales, it's clearly more profitable than making doujinshi (if we believe rumours on who this mangaka is) with a relatively lax schedule (about 6 pages every 2 weeks). I think the possibility is either he switched to another publisher (like the OP mentioned), or he was "weaned" into print.
