I loved Noir, but I couldn't help but notice a fairly gaping hole in the plot.
Kirika is about 18, isn't she? I say this because she looks about that age, and was in high school at the beginning of the series.
and Mereille is, I'm guessing, in her 20's. Once again, I'm just guessing based on looks.
Whether or not I got the ages right, Mereille is definately older than Kirika.
However, when Mereille's parents were killed, she was 7, right? But Kirika, the killer, looks to be the same age as her when it shows that scene.
So whats that all about?
is it something that the editors didn't catch?
or is it something deeper, like the Solodats making just making it seem like Kirika is younger than she actually is?

maybe Mireille just looked old for her age. i never got the impression that she was that much older than Kirika, besides her looks.

really? I always got the feeling that such a good assasin would be a bit older. But then again, in one of the episodes, it did explain that her uncle taught her everything about "her trade," implying that she had been learning ever since leaving Corsica.
actually, I'm not sure I needed the spoiler tag for that one, but better save than sorry...

I just assumed they were the same age, not everyone in Europe has the advantage of public schooling or wants it. Just bacuase she wasn't in school doesn't mean she was in her 20s. She could have been home schooled by her uncle who raised her, which would fit if Mirielle was death marked in Corsica for being the daughter of the Bouquets or if Claude was wealthy from the deal he cut with the Soldats.

According to the DVD insertKirika is 14 when she contacts Merielle by e-mail at the beginning. Its been 10 years since Merielle's parents were killed so Kirika was 4 at that time, and Merielle was 10. Chloé was the same age as Kirika.
