I've watched about half of it, but stopped when i started reading the manga, which is superior IMO. Theres a ton of fan service, and fighting.....there are too many flashbacks, so Nagi and Bob are not to be seen for quite a few episodes. I'll more than likely finish the series, but i enjoy the manga better.

I personally didn't like this show very much. It's basically fights, flashbacks, and fan service. Some characters are introduced in the beginning, but they become almost non-existant towards the end. I think the story was okay until they did flashbacks. Also the ending is inconclusive and nothing gets resolved, in my opinion (maybe others feel differently). I went on to watch the OVAs later and still nothing got resolved.
I just thought it was too full of fan service and fighting with underdeveloped characters and plot. A lot more could have been done with the time given.
However, if you like this then I also recommend you watch Ikki Tousen. It's basically the same thing minus flashbacks.

It is a very good series. The character development is a constant as the series progresses, telling you exactly why they are doing what they are doing. Fan service or not, it will always keep you wondering what happens in the next volume, very action packed. Although comparing it to Ikki Tousen is a bit low, Tenjho Tenge far outdoes it.

The term flashback is misleading (it gives off the idea of reused animation). Actually the "flashback" is the real meat of the story in TenTen. Basically after the first 8 episodes the series goes back a few years to tell what happened to Maya Natsume and why in the hell she's fighting with everyone in the first place. The series really sucked me in and I always wanted to know what happened next, because there's always a little something you don't know. Also the character relationships aren't so clear cut and pretty complex which I enjoyed. In my opinion Oh! Great also has a great knack for drawing women which is another plus. The only real drawback is that the show doesn't finish and because of TenTen's extensive past some characters have to take a backseat for a long time (including my personal favorite Aya). However I thought it was a very engaging series with fun fights and fanservice which were basically just deserts to a great meal. This is very deserving of a sequel. Unfortunatley one doesn't seem to be in sight, but at least there's the manga. From what I've read so far the series and manga follow eachother pretty much exactly, so you can just pick up where the anime left off. It's a series I highly reccommend (plus the opening is just great in both the visual and audio department).

My friend just got me hooked on it (odd considering he rarely likes anime). I've watched the first DVD; and I've been really enjoying it (even the dub cast is good).

Don't let it stop you...At least watch the first few episodes and see what you think. You may end up really liking the show, who knows. Everyone has different views on everything. It just really wasn't my kind of show.

I have the first four discs and the show is pretty good so far in my opinion. Good super powered martial-arts action, fanservice, some interesting characters, and I like the theme song. All in all not the best anime I've seen but entertaining and worth a watch.

I felt that the series was disjointed, partly because the story moves along in two different times (past & present). Just when you have gotten interested in the characters everything gets put on hold to show what happened in the past. And boy does the past monopolize screen time. You also get two different narrators of the past, which adds to the disjointed feeling.
When the past story arc is finally resolved, the return to the present came so late that they had no time to wrap things up. The manga is still going and I could see that they are betting on enough popularity for a second season but still... they didn't really stop at a decent halfway mark, it all just fizzled out. This is really my bigger beef with TenTen since I would have liked the show a lot more otherwise.
I also felt like the characters in the present were pushed to the side for so long that when they finally started playing bigger roles again I had lost touch with them somewhere along the way.

Is Geneon going to release the OVA along with the series. The art box is built to hold 8 and the series is only 24 episodes. Also there's recap movie apparently.

Well after watching it I think it was decent. Nothing too special, but I'm glad i watched it. I wouldn't go and put this in a top 10 list or recomend it to people over say, Gantz and Elfin Laid, and others.
