I'd be so excited for Ishiguro-sensei's visit (enough to consider a last minute attendance to the con)... but I had to go and plan a trip to Japan overlapping that weekend! Nooooo...!!

SoreMachi has become one of my favourite series—I love the humour and the sincerity with which it's written. I hope those who attend enjoy getting to meet the creator :) I'll be enviously reading the con-coverage from afar!

OMG!! You mean the godfather of tentacles is actually making a con appearance. I may have to catch this if the panel isn't too crowded but I'm not holding my breath.

Hmmm............. I thought it was already announced that Maeda is coming............ (Not that, ya pervs!)............ since a friend has already got ready some, ahem, "art books" for autograph weeks ago. Laughing

I might try and make a bus trip to New York, ordering a copy of Legend of the Overfiend beforehand and getting Toshio Maeda's autograph for it (assuming that'll happen), just for the hell of it.

Though apparently Toshio Maeda has a residence in Toronto (don't know how true that is, but the mere thought of him potentially living close to me amuses me greatly). Perhaps I might just bump into him one day.
