Sightly OT: While I was on the train back to Taipei last night, a girl was watching RAW 2005 FNS Kayousai on her computer, with numerous singers, including KinKi Kids, V6, Arashi, SMAP, TOKIO, BoA, Ayumi Hamasaki, Yo Hitoto, many other whom I couldn't identify, and of course, Mika Nakashima. She sang "Amazing Grace" in English (a blogger couldn't even identify this song...orz). Very fitting to the holiday season with a solid performance.

Too bad she turned her computer off so fast (I had a flash drive with me)....

Is this any better then Paradise Kiss? Cause I read Paradise Kiss during a period when I was buying every manga that came out in the US whether it was good or not, and I still couldn't bring myself to buy it.

I'd say so. George is too unrealistic in our world, yet every character in NANA are quite real; we could see bits and pieces of ourselves from each of them.

Ai Yazawa's manga are well above the average level of most manga titles (US-licensed or not), and I'd say the taste of many US licensors are quite... mmm... peculiar. So, feel free to pick them up; you won't be disappointed.

Nana is off to a good start with the first GN. I need to read the second volume to get a better grip on the series though, but the first volume was definitely one of the better 1st volume of any shojo I've read.
