Well, it's not like we didn't see this coming. Still it blows though, Bandai released a lot of awesome stuff which is a huge chunk of my DVD collection. I own at least 75 series, movies or OVAs from them.
RIP I fear for my future collection of Gundam UC BDs at the moment, but otherwise I pretty much have all I want from Bandai. Last edited by Kruszer on Fri Aug 31, 2012 10:34 pm; edited 2 times in total |

Well it was bound to happen sooner or late but I guess it happened sooner...hopefully it won't be too long before we hear about possible license rescues and the like.

I'm glad there was some notice about this. Time to finally get around to grabbing up the last BE things I wanted.

That's unhappy news. Bandai loomed very large in my fandom during the way back when. A lot of the titles that mattered most to be back then, like Cowboy Bebop and The Big O, were published in the United States by Bandai. I've gotten quite a lot out of them and, truth be told, I've been meaning to get even more, which suddenly became rather harder and more urgent.
I've been so used to having them around that I suppose I felt like they'd always be there. Bandai was already pretty well just the faintest shadow of what they once were, now even that is fading away. Kind of a lousy turn of events. |

Does this mean I have to rebuy my defective Gundam Seed collection? And might possibly get yet another defective set with no means to get new ones? Fudges.

Welp, good to see Bandai JP working towords Gundam Age being seen world wide and stuff, right?
Right? Oh, Oh right, that's right. Eng Sub on DVD only. Good going there, Japan. |

Glad I got what I could, but there's still quite a bit I wish I had of theirs.

I've been buying Bandai titles whenever I had a few $ to spare. Glad I did so.
Sad to see them go, it was a fun ride. Mark Gosdin |

I collected a couple of their stuff over the past few years. I feel cheated. This makes me really mad at fans of some of their series. If they were picking up popular series like Cowboy Bebop, Gundam, Gurren Lagann, Haruhi, Lucky Star, Code Geass, K-On!, then what were THEY doing wrong?

And this is where I just throw down the gauntlet and throw up a middle finger at every so-called "fan" that has never spent a single dime and still has the arrogant nerve to say that they love anime.

I guess it's about time for another round of purchases on my part. Bought quite a few Bandai Entertainment titles earlier this year, but I'll try to complete my collection in the following months.
That said, I imagine at least a few of the more popular titles should be rescued by other companies, sooner or later, but I'd rather not take too many chances with that while there's still time. Last edited by nightjuan on Fri Aug 31, 2012 3:59 pm; edited 1 time in total |

Hopefully this could mean we'll see some sales on Bandai titles. I've only gotten a couple things from Bandai, but now it looks like I'll have to grab a lot more.
