i dont know where to put this but i was at a site and in the manga section they kept saying loli in hear so what is loli?

loli if im not mistaken comes from lolita. and its basically liking young girls. for example if the character you like in a harem manga is the little girl then you have a loli complex

Loli simply refers to a young (pre-pubescent) female, regardless of whether or not there is any sexual content. Lolicon, coming from the term Lolita Complex, refers to the interest in young girls in anime and manga. A lolita complex is a sexual interest in young girls, but lolicon does not necessarily involve sexual interest. In most cases, it is probably a turn on, but I would say there are some cases where it isn't.

They got the age of 19 quoted on the back of the cool deviced box set. Although it does disturb me that you have that blonde haired guy going after the little girl in DigiCharot. Then again, there is a lot of things that are disturbing in that show. |

Yeah, most Hentai say that all characters in the movie is at or about 18, but it's kind of hard to believe sometimes.

That's because it's often BS. If they look 12, they probably are. The DVD distributors are just covering their asses, even though it's unnecessary with current laws.

You know lolicon is a lot more complex in Japan than one might think. Actually, I remember a very interesting lecture that inspired me to research more on the subject. The lecture in mind was, of course, on lolicon, it was held at my university (do I go to a cool uni or what?). Anyway, to my knowledge, the fascination with lolitas in Japan doesn't nessesarily have to be of sex nature. If anything, to a true loli lover, sex may be the last thing on his mind
The true nature of a Japanese Lolita, at least to me, is different than her European counterpart. Whilst the western term "lolita" refers to... a young girl acting in a manner suitable for a more sexualy profound person, the "oriental lolita" for the most part has to be... cute. Or rather more than that, she has to be kawaii. It would take hours to actully write about the phenomen of "kawaii", but In Short kawaii can reffer to anything simply cute, cute as in fluffy-soft cute, clumsy as in heart warming clumsy, in No way dangerous, threatening or conventionaly sexual (!). And in a way that is the way of a J-Lolita. She can be of adult age, but wearing kiddy clothes, specially designed for the large demographic of girls wanting to be "lolitas", and using a restricted lingo of cutesy sounds, which like to give man, the impresson they are yearing for. Now I am not a sociologist, so I can't really say what are ther basics for the lolicon part in the minds of japanese man and woman. But it has to be, at leat in my oppinion, distinquished from pedophilia. I think the Best example of True lolicon is Chii from Chobits. She is harmless, she acts like an infant girl at times, she is clumsy and overall cute. Her owner - Hideki, in the end choses a Perfect Loli girl. She will NEVER grow up, she will be a lolita forever. But between them.. sex will never happen. That really interests me. But lets remember that in Japan there is lolicon and there is pedo. Some people like to assosiate those 2. But lets keep them separated, K? |

The "They are just drawn to look young" line is just as convincing at my ex-homemate line of "They are of age, they just look young" with his school girl fetish.
That seems to explain that tall blonde haired guy in Di Gi Charat Nyo.
So could you some one explain Air? Like here i was watching the anime. I knew that is was based on a PS2. Then one day I had one of my freind show me the AIR TV / GAME artwork book. 3 pages later, i find out that it all based on a H-Game. Considering that most of the girls looked under the legal age limit. It did put me off continuing to watch the show for a few months. |

It does make it wonder some times. Like I am normally used to seeing the Porn Versions Of Movies. Eg. White Men Can Not Hump, Sex Trek The Next Penatration. etc. Not the other way around. The whole AIR thing had made me think that maybe not all H-Games is all Tentical Sex, BDSM and Sex. However i am not going to go out of my way to purchase one to confirm this. |
