Personally I'd love an Invader Zim manga, it was a really good show that didn't last long enough!
The way it is drawn an written it would make an easy transaction into manga.

Johnen Vasuez has a lot of great comics.. "Squee," "Johnny the Homicidal Maniac," and is it "I'm sick"? I haven't read all of them, but I've read some and they're pretty amusing.
Some of the prime time dramas on TV would make pretty good manga. I used to like Alias before the story went to hell, and Lost has really got me going now. Those would make pretty cool manga, I think.

I actually prefer my manga to be completely original, because in almost every case, whichever came first will always be best. There are some exceptions (I like the Pretear anime more than the manga), but not many. It's just like novelizations of TV shows and movies. Some may be good, but what came first usually blows it out of the water.
That said, I still do like seeing manga animated, because sometimes it does add something the manga could not do (certainly for me it makes action sequences a lot easier to follow if the characters are actually moving ).

I find that it better so that I can see the same character different stories. Therefore expanding he universe that they are living in.
Eg. Tenchi Muyo seems to start after the events of the first OVA and goes it's own direction. It breifly touches the events of the first movie at one stage. But over all, it's the same characters is totally different situations.
