Pretty decent staff and cast, but this doesn't sound like a shoujo that has a strong female protagonist. This sounds like yet another stammering shy introvert who the guy likes for no reason other than simply because it's the reader/viewer self-insert.
Give me some more Skip Beat, Lovely Complex, or Kare Kano heroines please. Ones who have goals beyond simply having a cute guy protecting them. |

No worries here. Mei is actually quite a strong character. She is shy and not as loudly assertive as the characters in Skip Beat, LoveCom, or Kare Kano, but she's no doormat. IMO, her characterization is probably the best thing in this series. That summary does not at all do her justice. |
