ok so i was just curious and read the encyclopedia and found That David Lucas is in fact the guy who does the voice of Hakaider on "Kikaider", BUT it isn't listed as that, it's listed as Steve Blum, in fact i saw like a whole ton of other animes under the same name. so what the heck is his real name exactly? and what would be the benefit of doing this?

I think Steve Blum is his real name, and "David Lucas" is the pseudonym he uses for non-union work. Or, at least, "Steve Blum" is the name on his union card.
he said it was a different guy, but I think its obvious that its the same. he played Spike in Cowboy Bebop (tv) as David Lucas and I just watched the movie yesterday and it has him credited as Steve Blum and thats what it said his name was in the interview.

I'll put it this way: David Lucas is Batman, Steven Jay Blum is Bruce Wayne. And the union is the Joker (don't take that too far, I'm not trying to demonize the actor's union).

If there’s a theme to be traced in this volume, it’s the idea of when it’s okay to be two-faced.― When is it safe to be yourself? That's maybe a more intense question than you'd expect from Fall in Love, You False Angels, which is unquestionably a romantic comedy. With a very readable translation and art that’s pretty enough, this is an easy read.― Light novels certainly don't lack for terrible families.
