Pretty sweet. Heard about this yesterday.
But I hope they don't try to cram the entire 70+ hour story into one movie. It just can't work. This would probably need to be a muti-part film project (or at least a trilogy) to really do it justice IMO.

Yeah... this isn't going to work. Persona 4 was rushed in 25 episodes. Dunno how they're gonna try to do this in a movie without making no sense to anyone but people who have already played the game. It'll probably go Unlimited Blade Works route where they only animate the biggest scenes.

honestly having played the game im really excited about this. While im unsure about the films legnth i think it can be done if its in a series of movies like broken blade and 3 or 6 parts could work out quite well. Now since kitaro (the MC's name apparently) mentioned it can ANN confirm akira ishida reprised his role or not?

My thoughts exactly, especially considering the contents added in FES

I doubt a theatre in the US would pick this up if it's live action just because of the way personas are released

Fortunately, 65 of those 70 hours is spent either listening to people complain about their problems or grinding. There's only a handful of plot points worth adapting...it should be considerably easier than whatever they're doing with P4's film.

Whoa, I heard the rumor about this, didn't think we'd get it confirmed this quickly. I'm...hesitantly excited. I LOVE Persona 3, I like it more than 4 to be honest, but I can't imagine how they're going to do it all in one film...this needs a series more than it needs a movie.

LOL, this is sad but true!
Honestly, I'm optimistic, but then again, considering the fiasco that was Trinity Soul. I never expected anything more for P3, so I'm just happy we're getting anything! We'll see.

what you mean by it doesn't work? i'm pretty it will work. You an't never have everything on a game to an anime. that's will never going to work. I never understand why people want to fit all the things that have nothing to do with the story into the anime.
It will do well, they know their target audience.

A friiick Im really excited for a P3 adaption but I'm hesitant because I was hoping for a TV series, as people said there would be a lot to cram into one movie...plus, you know, it will take that much longer to see it stateside.
Plus...I'm going to have a very hard time not calling the main Minato Arisato. I don't know if I can deal with that...
But! I'm glad to see this happen nonetheless.

This is why Persona 3 was such a piece of shit.

It's nice to see Persona 3 getting some of the limelight and aside from Persona 2, Persona 3 is one my favorites of the bunch. I'm just curious how they'll put in so much into a film.

I hope ATLUS doesn't tap the main SMT games' cows to death after they ruin all of the Persona games.

To state in KOS-MOS's voice: "There is an 85% chance that this will not work well, Shion."
It's going to have to be a pretty thorough and long movie if they want to get the entire cast's motivations and growth down pat.

I wonder if P4 was good enough in the ratings to warrant a animation for P3?
