Don't forget to mention Road to Perdition.

Will be interesting to see how this one gets handled.

David Peoples has written some really great movies (Blade Runner, Unforgiven, Twelve Monkeys) so if he's attached that gives me hope. I don't think I've actually seen any of Justin Lin's movies but apparently his non-Fast and Furious work has been pretty well received.

Beat me to it.

Seems kinda pointless when Tom Hanks already did the exact same premise, you know? And he did it really well, I might add.

Haha, I read the headline and thought to myself "Why would a basketball player be involved in a Lone Wolf and Cub film?" ::click::

Oh, Justin Lin.

I like the fact that Justin Lin's casts tend to be more ethnically diverse than what you usually see in the usual Hollywood movies.

Update: Deadline also notes that 1212 Entertainment is producing an adaptation of Taito's Space Invaders game.

I thought Robot Chicken already did that.......... Laughing

Like GATSU said, Road to Perdition was a loose adaptation of Lone Wolf and Cub.

What would Justin Lin want to do with Lone Wolf and Cub since we already have something close to it.

Well they didn't complain when Lone Wolf and Cub became Road to Perdition. So I'm hoping nobody will make a big deal out of this.

Well, I certainly will if I don't get my 3D Lone Wolf and Cub entirely in vocaloid with Shia Lebouf and Bruce Willis as twins fighting an ethnically diverse CG Tokugawa shogunate to a Black Eyed Peas soundtrack.

It didn't become Road to Perdition. There were no acquiring of rights or legal agreement, so Road to Perdition wasn't an adaptation of any kind. Being "inspired by" is not the same as being "adapted from".

True, but the last time a US film was "inspired by" a anime/manga, Anime fans complain about it (ie: Inception, and Black Swan). Luckilly, Road to Perdition was very lucky of not getting those complaint from anime fan (correct me if I'm wrong).
