Why stop at the top 100? They should go all the way and find the "Number 1, The King of All Otaku's In The World" and then lock him away in a hospital for the mentally deranged. Laughing

This would work great in American fandom. From what I have heard of Japanese fandom, they are more one show people. They know everything about one show and not much else about the Artform. What is the best sense of Fandom in Japan?

There are different type of otakus. You should watch Otaku no Video, as it document the otaku livestyle, from cosplayer to milatary otaku, but it could be a little outdated by now.

As for king of otaku, that's OtaKING.

Or you can watch the new series - Genshiken, which is much like Otaku no Video.

I know that this is old news and all, but the results of the exam were announced on October 7th (I think). The list of people who passed is here:
