They scored a Blu-ray license from Bandai Visual? That's nothing to scoff at.

That's an impressive surprise. Shin Getter Robo VS Neo Getter Robo has not, unless I'm mistaken, been officially released in the west before. DiscoTek has been making some very ambitious announcements lately and really livened up their quiet little niche. This particular title isn't my dish, but I like the direction that it represents; it gives me reason to be hopeful about what titles they might license in the future. I hope that they're able to successfully build relationships with Japanese companies and to find an adequate audience for the products.

Man! They're really making some announcements! They seem to be doing it like... every other week or something! Razz What's next?

This title looks decent. I've never heard of it, but it looks like something I may be interested in.

...w...what the...

We didn't all die today or something, did we?

The latter half of the show is a bit weak, but it's fun all the same and more than makes up for it in certain areas (too much high blah blah you'll see) - I was thinking it'd be nice to see it with higher quality video, but wow, I didn't know there even was a Blu-Ray until now.

You're confusing it with ADV's Getter Robo Armageddon and Geneon's New Getter Robo.

"I feel a great disturbance in the Force. It's as if countless fanboys just wet themselves all at once due to some news about a decade-old Super Robot OVA series being licensed and coming out on DVD and Blu-Ray."

But seriously, I feel happy for you guys.

Till this day, I don't own a single release of any of Discotek's anime releases, but since they're announced nothing but AWESOME shows for the past few days, I have no choice but to support them now! This is just fantastic news!!!!!! Thanks Discotek, you've just made my year!

Tanteikingdomkey is right. You know what's better than these things getting licensed? People actually buying them. I'm getting pretty sick of people begging and begging for things to be licensed, only to never buy them and watching them fansubbed instead because of trivial things like, "Herp-derp, the English subs are inaccurate because they don't keep honorifics." Seriously, let's show Discotek how much these licenses mean to us by putting our cash on the line and giving the industry some much-needed support.

Discotek picking up Go Nagai titles now? I approve! Cool

I'll buy them all if they continue because i've bought and enjoyed almost every Dynamic title released on DVD here so far so it would be fun to see more titles licensed.
