I was in my local blockbuster and I came across a previously viewed copy of Plastic Little on VHS with subtitles. I have never heard of the title before so I did not know whether it was a good buy or not. If you have an opinion on the show post it and spoilers are welcome.

I wouldn't recommend it unless all you want to see is all the gratuitous nudity in the "bath scene" that features at least the two main female protagonists that I can remember. The rest is completely forgettable and has one of the most worthless main villains that I've ever seen.

Ya definitely not worth it... unless you want to see the famous "bath scene" . Naked women, Milk, and Slides.... mmmm.... (or at least that’s what I remember )

Hey, hey! Don't spoil it like that! That's the funniest part of the movie, even moreso because it's so unexpected.
My personal opinion is that Plastic Little is neither great nor bad. It has a certain charm that will at least ensure watching it is not wasted time.

So would it be more worth my while to rent it probably on DVD for $5.75 than to buy the VHS previously viewed version for $6.98? (canadian pricing)

For those prices, I'd just buy it.

I thought it had to do with breasts for some reason.

I've heard two theories:
1. It's set in a time when there is very Little Plastic around.
2. It refers to the thinness of the spacesuits.
Maybe both are true.

That is both hilarious and unexpected. But it would really not shock me if that was the reason.

I was thinking about it and went the the video store to check out the boxcover. No one really has juggs o' plenty (at least to me) but the suits did look very shiny. And I don't think this is the series with the "jiggle counter", is it?

Eh, my VHS tape didn't have a jiggle counter! Is this a DVD only feature?

Personally, I'd buy Plastic Little based on the artwork alone. The story is pretty decent, kind of heartwarming to me. The ending always gets me a little misty-eyed anyway. It's a neat little anime title with some really nice animation and GORGEOUS character designs. $7 isn't too bad but, if you can find the DVD for a bit more than that may be your best bet. Check it out. You may enjoy it.
