Finally!, Cherami Leigh is a good choice ;P I can picture it nicely

What I find weird is that they are going to release both parts on the same day...it's nice, but why aren't they spread apart? like they usually are.

Forgive me if this is a noob question (I don't watch a ton of anime).

Should I read anything into the fact that four of those actors voice main characters in the Fairy Tail dub? Does that mean they may have "moved on" (that is, that dub was cancelled), or is it normal for actors to have several projects going?

As good as the Fairy Tail dub is, I'm expecting it to get dropped because I know so many anime fans refuse to support dubs.

No, it doesn't mean that at all x_x. lol. It's normal for an them to have several projects. They finished dubbing the first 48 episodes a while ago, because Funimation only got the license for the first season (48 episodes).

~What do you mean expect it to be dropped DConfused...lol Fairy Tail was one of the best selling titles (3rd best) Funimation released in 2011. And it was only out for the last two months of that year. some of the other titles were out longer than it. Anime fans who refuse to support the dub, are mainly the stupid otaku-weeaboos that instantly say that sub-versions are automatically better. For me who has been watching Fairy Tail since 2009, I say the dub is much better. They just troll over everything.

Nah, it doesn't mean anything. Usually there is lots of overlap in casting for most shows. Dubbing houses tend to use the same core actors for all of the shows they release. This is completely usual. Wink

For some reason, this is a surprise. I guess that I've become so accustomed to seeing nothing much of interest to me in the lists of future releases that imagine anything that I might care about to be released in hazy, indefinite near future after Doc Terror and his cyborg companion Hacker unleash their forces to conquer Earth. Oh well, at least by then gay robot marriage will be legal.

I don't know terribly much about Shiki, but I've quickly become interested in it from what little I have learned and the opinions of some reliable people. It seems like it'll appeal to the moody, dark-hearted part of my soul, which is important as that is most of my soul. I don't really know what's going on with the rest of it; I've been subletting it to the ghost of Aleister Crowler and a Tim Horton's franchise ever since I bought it back from my best friend, to whom I had sold it for lunch money when were were in the seventh grade.

This looks like a very, though safe, strong cast. I don' tknow the content well enough to judge the matches, but there are a lot of very familiar, reliable voices on it. Luci Christian and Stephanie Young alone are enough for my attention. I have a surprising amount of trouble dissociating Cherami Leigh from her part in Strike Witches, I guess watching that was more traumatic than I'd realized, but she's done plenty more that's less incongruous with something like this.

The character wear pants in this show, right? At least more often than not?

There's no need to worry. It's not at all unusual for a voice actor to be part of more than one cast at once, especially people like the very often used actors who will be in Shiki's English dub.

I don't know if that was ever true, but it certainly isn't anymore. Even here, among 'enthusiasts', there are plenty of people who either like them or are indifferent to them, but few who oppose them. An even larger share of more casual fans probably favor them. I also believe that Fairy Tail has sold well and thus is unlikely to be abandoned.

I'll definitely be getting this, since I really liked the series...despite the character designs not being to my taste xD

It won't be a pre-order from me since the Durarara BD box comes out the same month [s] and that's already costing me an arm[/s]

I'll be looking forward to importing this now.

@1945113 - Random guess, but could it be related to the gap between when the show ended and when it'll be released.

Oh what a nice cast. I am especially pleased to see Jerry Jewel on the cast list. He's been one of my favorites at Funi since he played Kyo in Fruits Basket.

And also both sets at the same time? That's a bit odd but I guess it doesn't hurt to get the expense over with at once.

Surprised Monica Rial isn't Sunako. Shocked that she isn't in it at all!

Looks like a pretty good cast list to me! I'm glad McFarland will be directing it too, he does great work. I can't wait to get my hands on Shiki on DVD, I haven't watched it since the initial broadcast but I still catch myself thinking back on my experience with the show, which makes it a worthy buy in my book.

Funi has released two parts at once before at least once, with Casshern Sins. Not sure what the reasoning is either but it will be nice for fans who want the whole series quicker.

I was pretty interested in this show for a while, but I recently watched some AMVs of the series and it didn't seem like something I'd enjoy. I might watch a couple eps when Funi streams the dub, since I kinda like the character designs.

My question is whether they plan to include the two bonus episodes in addition to the original 22.
