I saw the first two episodes and I’m lost. Can anyone fill me in on this confusing anime? I think the first episode doesn't even relate to the second. It's like a 30 minute prologue. It's a good show though. Questions: spoiler[ What are the devils children? What are those things that look like they transform into devils? What did the father of those two kids do (the kids that are being chased around)? Why are those kids the "chosen ones" and what are they "chosen" for? What's up with that freaky lady who looks like a witch? ]

Not entirely sure myself on all of it, I gather it's one of those series that's not going to truly explain itself until further on. The series really didn't interest me though so I don't believe I'll watch past the first 4. As for their father though, if I recall he was the one who caused the whole tragedy that crippled the planet and society.

Really i saw the firest episode on a preview dvd for NewType USA and it creeped me out a littel.

... hmm. I just got the first two DVDs recently and I'm as confused as you are, but I enjoy this show very much.
 it's probably something you'll have to watch the episodes more than once to understand.

Yeah...i was jsut about to ask this question. I'm taking an Epic and Myth class and we recently discussed (very vaguely) which was if i recall correctly was a series of poems recorded as early as 2750 BC to 2200 BC, well before the Old Testament. I felt it very odd that an anime just somehow had the same name as this great work of literature and i've figured that it must be at least loosely based off of it. I'll try and get a little more information, but i do not want to give anything away.
